Tennova Healthcare- Clarksville

Contrary to this hospitals repeated assertions that, "All patients presenting to our Emergency Department receive an appropriate Medical Screening ...." they do not Staff are loose/lax with HIPAA, physicians aren't available in the ER on holidays, evenings, or weekends 100% of the time, and billing begins the minute you fill out the registration forms -- regardless of whether or not you are seen Furthermore, if you are escorted beyond the triage doors, you will be LOCKED IN and not allowed to leave without seeing a billing clerk -- even if you received ZERO services I had to threaten calling the police before the clerk pushed the buzzer to allow me and my daughter to exit

On October 10, I took my grandson to Tenova ERHis mom met us thereI will say I thought they were going to let my year old grandson die in the waiting roomMy grandson had a bike wreck and was in and out of consciousness due to painHis pain was never assessedThey obviously don't understand what the definition of triage isThey did take his heart rate and pulse and eventually took his blood pressure several hours laterHis heart rate and BP were highWorking in the medical profession myself my grandson was the sickest person in the waiting areaThat is what triage is forI continually told them he was very sick and they needed to address himSeven hours later he left via ambulance to Vanderbilt Children's hospitalThey were appalled that his pain was never assessedHe was immediately put on IV Dilaudid which is very strongHe had torn his small bowel and had to have emergency surgeryHe was on IV antibiotics in the hospital for a weekI can assure you I would go miles out of my way before I take any one I know to TenovaRest assured the hospital would be shut down had my grandson diedI cannot stress how horrible this experience was

Awful ERI broke my wrist Friday went there and left with instructions to call Dr*** this morning to discuss surgical plan and likely perform surgeryThey instructed me no to eat anything since yesterday 8pmCall this morning and he can't see me because he doesn't accept my insuranceWhat?? The ER referred me to a drThat doesn't accept my insurance and now I can't find anyone who can see me todayAnd I'm left to call all the offices I can to see who accept it?? It was the ER doctor duty to refer me to one that does!!!!

Having to wait 3 to 4hrs to be seen by a doctor in the ER should never take that long the server is horrible the staff need to be revamped asap
