I've never had a problem with them They call me once a year I order something I could probably find cheaper somewhere else but if that is what I wanted I would go to Wal Mart I hope I am helping someone have a job that they would not have otherwise and whoever runs this business has to make some profit to keep the doors openThey send the product to me before I pay and If I don't like it I can send it back I would rather buy something from them hoping to help some handicapped individual than send money to one of the big name charities who eat up most of my donation in operating costs and salaries or even give money to my church charities who spend the money on ultra liberal causes I do not agree with

SHS called my wife and badgered her until she agreed to let them send her something so she could get off the phoneThey specifically said she did not have to pay anything, but stated there was "a suggested donation amount." When the item arrived it was literally a box of plastic trash bags with a suggested donation amount over $They then proceeded to call her repeatedly until she blocked their number, and we just received an "invoice" in the mail demanding $for the box of trash bags they sent usIt is hard to avoid the conclusion this is a scam

I have purchased light bulbs, a wind chimes and trash bags from Southeastern Handicapped Services, Incin the past two years The prices are outrageous but as I understand it, I am contributing to a charity and getting a product because of that The products have all been acceptable

How on Earth can a company get an A+ Revdex.com rating when they violate the LAW by continuing to call people on the Federal No Call List?! START following the law & do not harass people that have not given you permission to call them! You are a for-profit company & MUST follow the law!

Received an unsolicited sales call from this company today and had the exact same thought another reviewer had so I quoted them: "How on Earth can a company get an A+ Revdex.com rating when they violate the LAW by continuing to call people on the Federal No Call List?! START following the law & do not harass people that have not given you permission to call them! You are a for-profit company & MUST follow the law!"

Although the people who interact with customers are very polite and the service appears to be a positive one, the items purchased are very expensive for the qualityI have purchased brooms years ago which were worthwhile, but the last years have left me disappointed: first aid kits worth dollars at most for 35; flags of inferior material, but high price; a dollars dish set worth about 5; and now feet of clear food wrap worth about dollars for a whopping dollarsplease either admit you are a charity or sell better items(the wind chimes weren"t worth dollar store level)

I have sent two messages through their website for an address to return my packageThe invoice is $and the product is nowhere near valued at that amountI just want the physical return address where I can send this package so the invoices will stop
I wish I had seen all of these negative reviews before I agreed to purchase from this businessI don't have money to throw away

I have ordered from them many times Yes, I know I'm overpaying, but that is not the point The point is to provide jobs for the people they employ I have a child with a disability, and I hope that some day organizations like this are still around so that he may be gainfully employed

I received the packageItem is made in ChinaI thought it was made by handicap individualsTold the person that answered the phone to remove my number from their call listI don't have a problem with helping, but don't charge me an outrageous price for something that costs about $10, if that

Telephone solicitor misrepresented product (Hummingbird windchime) as being manufactured on site in Mobile, Alabama by disabled employees, not re-boxed after being purchased by another manufacturerThe windchime was plainly marked as being manufactured in China

I've ordered from SHS twice and both times were a very positive experience Spoke to the same lady both times and she was very detailed with what the service does and very knowledgeable of the products Yes you overpay but it's worth it to help provide some work for someone who wants to work but is limited

This is not a charity! They are a for profit business using the keywords to trick you in to thinking they are more than just a business Lots of businesses employ people who have disabilities but do not over charge you for there products I have worked in the disability area in AL for years and have never heard of them

Sent an unsolicited item, is now demanding payment
Southeastern Handicapped Services called me a few months ago, asking to send an item which was "manufactured by the handicapped." They said once I received the item I could choose to make a voluntary donation in exchangeThey represented themselves as a charity and emphasized that payment was not requiredThey were very persistent, so to get off the phone I agreed they could send somethingThey sent a roll of trash bags (literally just a roll of plastic trash bags), along with a "bill" for $They then proceeded to make harassing phone calls demanding payment until I blocked their number, then they sent me lettersToday they sent a letter threatening to "report this bad debt to an attorney or a collection agency."
The account number listed on the statement that came today is ***It is signed by "***."

I do not understand why you say you check with the Federal Do Not Call List, because I am ON that listI wish not to be called at home by people wanting money for anythingI choose my own charities

I was told that the products were made by the handicapped The wind chimes I bought are from China

They call elderly people and swindle them out of their moneyAwful practicesThey called my father and swindled him out of almost $

billing for un-ordered merchandise
we received merchandise USPD that my wife said she did not order Included was an attached invoice for $
today, we received a collection call demanding payment (caller id ***)
A good deal of trouble to return to post office We constantly receive unsolicited calls for goods or services we do not want

The salesman I have dealt with times now has been very cordial I think it is great they can offer jobs to those with disabilities Jobs can be very rewarding for them
