September 23, 2017To Whom It May Concern:Re: Complaint [redacted] , Terra Losa Tailor ShopHello, I am issuing a response in writing to the above-mentioned complaint in order to clarify the situationFirst and foremost, we require each and every customer to pay upfront for alterations, this case is not an exceptionOur reason for doing so is because prior to 2015, there had been several customers who had their clothes altered, but for whatever reason changed their mind and did not show up to retrieve the repaired itemsPre-payment is our company policy that has been implemented since I would like to point out that, if she were not content with the price of the alterations, she had the executive right to willingly choose not to have the alterations completed by us from the startShe had agreed to all the conditions of the alteration, everything from price to pickup dateShe mentioned that there were nine people who had looked at the dress but did not mention any damageI do not believe that each of those nine individuals would analyze the garment and check for damages, and especially our workers, simply because it is impractical to check for stains for each and every customer at our shopIn writing, she suggested that two of the younger children at our shop may be responsible for staining the dress [redacted] Out of hundreds of our customers who get alterations done on a regular basis, the items which are all held in the common area, I have not yet once received a single complaint through Revdex.com like thisThe dress was not dropped at any point in the time that we had itThe reason our tailor got frustrated was that Ms [redacted] claimed that our staff, [redacted] , were responsible for creating the stain; [redacted] Because of the nature of the stain, our tailor suggested to Ms [redacted] that any stains were likely due to cosmetics or antiperspirant, and suggested dry cleaning as a remedyMs [redacted] did not find this acceptable and then proceeded to assuredly claim that it was tailor's chalk that created the stainOur tailor then told her to follow her back into the tailoring room, where she clearly demonstrated that chalk vaporizes and comes off with steam from ironing immediatelyMs [redacted] also says that the dress was brand new; however, she indicated she had already tried it on at home (therefore knowing whether or not she needed alterations)Therefore, there is no absolute certainty or concrete evidence of the dress being unstained prior to being brought in.We cannot, in good conscience, accept responsibility for the alleged damages, because that would be a misrepresentation of the truthAt our business, we strive for quality service, professionalism, and most importantly honestyIf there were any mistakes of my doing, I would truthfully point it out and accept responsibilityThis case, however, is without any actual certainty, and I can affirm that our staff would not do anything to intentionally stain or damage a customer's garment and jeopardize our businessIt is simply not the way we conduct ourselvesIt is unfortunate and deeply regrettable that this situation has escalated to this extent and it would be best to resolve this with complete openness.Regards, Danh [redacted] Management,Terra Losa Tailor Shop

September 23, 2017To Whom It May Concern:Re: Complaint [redacted], Terra Losa Tailor ShopHello, I am issuing a response in writing to the above-mentioned complaint in order to clarify the situation. First and foremost, we require each and every customer to pay upfront for alterations, this case is not...

an exception. Our reason for doing so is because prior to 2015, there had been several customers who had their clothes altered, but for whatever reason changed their mind and did not show up to retrieve the repaired items. Pre-payment is our company policy that has been implemented since 2015. I would like to point out that, if she were not content with the price of the alterations, she had the executive right to willingly choose not to have the alterations completed by us from the start. She had agreed to all the conditions of the alteration, everything from price to pickup date. She mentioned that there were nine people who had looked at the dress but did not mention any damage. I do not believe that each of those nine individuals would analyze the garment and check for damages, and especially our workers, simply because it is impractical to check for stains for each and every customer at our shop. In writing, she suggested that two of the younger children at our shop may be responsible for staining the dress** [redacted] Out of hundreds of our customers who get alterations done on a regular basis, the items which are all held in the common area, I have not yet once received a single complaint through Revdex.com like this. The dress was not dropped at any point in the time that we had it. The reason our tailor got frustrated was that Ms. [redacted] claimed that our staff, [redacted], were responsible for creating the stain; [redacted] Because of the nature of the stain, our tailor suggested to Ms. [redacted] that any stains were likely due to cosmetics or antiperspirant, and suggested dry cleaning as a remedy. Ms. [redacted] did not find this acceptable and then proceeded to assuredly claim that it was tailor's chalk that created the stain. Our tailor then told her to follow her back into the tailoring room, where she clearly demonstrated that chalk vaporizes and comes off with steam from ironing immediately. Ms. [redacted] also says that the dress was brand new; however, she indicated she had already tried it on at home (therefore knowing whether or not she needed alterations). Therefore, there is no absolute certainty or concrete evidence of the dress being unstained prior to being brought in.We cannot, in good conscience, accept responsibility for the alleged damages, because that would be a misrepresentation of the truth. At our business, we strive for quality service, professionalism, and most importantly honesty. If there were any mistakes of my doing, I would truthfully point it out and accept responsibility. This case, however, is without any actual certainty, and I can affirm that our staff would not do anything to intentionally stain or damage a customer's garment and jeopardize our business. It is simply not the way we conduct ourselves. It is unfortunate and deeply regrettable that this situation has escalated to this extent and it would be best to resolve this with complete openness.Regards, Danh [redacted]  Management,Terra Losa Tailor Shop

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that while this resolution is not satisfactory to me, I am accepting their response strictly because I do not wish further interaction with this company. Their statement is incredibly self-defensive and in certain areas, incorrect. For example, their response indicates the tailor was upset. She was yelling and reached across the counter more than once to grab my arm and try to show me her working area in the back. [redacted] Regardless, I wanted to ensure there was a record kept of these instances as mine is not the only one. [redacted] Thank you for your time and holding businesses to account. It's appreciated.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
