This dispute was first filed because this individual claimed I quoted her a price but changed the price the week of her appointmentThis did not happen Three days before her appointment she told me she “needed the money for school” and didn’t have the money for her tattooI offered to make the tattoo smaller for a cheaper price, choose from flat-rate designs that would fit within her budget, or hold her deposit for days until she had the money to get the tattooI have attempted to work with this individual and her changing budgetShe wasn’t happy with the three options I offered so she filed the initial Revdex.com complaint claiming I changed prices on her (which is a lie because it never happened.) Reference attached e-mails as proof that this never happenedDeposits cover my time while I draw a tattoo designThe deposit comes off the price of the tattoo when you get it, this is clearly explained to everyone who we work withI cannot refund a deposit simply because one’s situation changed, especially after I’ve devoted my time to the drawing process(Never mind the amount of time I’ve devoted and wasted having to dispute a Revdex.com claim that is based on events that never happened.) I don’t think this individual reads clearly, I wrote in my response I have been “in the business for years.” I have been in the tattoo business for years managing my husband’s tattoo career and managing a tattoo shopThis is my first year as an actual tattoo artist, as the website states(This is irrelevant to this fabricated Revdex.com complaint.)

Our first response to this clients tattoo inquiry was on 12/14/She was quoted a price of $210-$The price would depend on the final design and the amount of time it would take to complete the tattooShe was told the tattoo would take hours, give or take a half hour, at an hourly rate of $an hour I explained in multiple e-mails that we require a deposit to schedule an appointment and that the deposit comes off the price of the tattoo when you get itDeposits cover our time while we draw a custom tattoo designWhen working with new clients our deposit policy is explained verbally, is hung in the tattoo studio and is also included in our automatic e-mail response I e-mailed on 1/3/to confirm her tattoo appointment for that Saturday (1/9/16), she said “can’t wait!” Two days later, on 1/5/I received an e-mail saying her financial situation changed and that she “needed the money to pay for school.” She asked about changing the size of the design or getting a different design since she no longer had the money for the design I had been working onIn an effort to work with her budget I offered to make the tattoo smaller for $200-$($100-$after her deposit is deducted)I invited her to come into the shop and look through a portfolio of flat-rate tattoo designs that would fit within her budgetAs a third option, I offered to hold her deposit for days until she was ready to get the tattoo In response I received consecutive e-mails from herThe first two explained how she values my opinion, thinks I’m a great artist, apologized for taking up my time and said she’s learned a lot from this experienceShe said she knows we don’t refund deposits but really needs the money for schoolThe 3rd e-mail demanded I refund her depositI responded to this e-mail within hours and expressed that I understand her financial situation changed but that this is not a valid reason for me to refund her depositALL her e-mails were answered within hours, most of them within hours I work one on one with individuals everydayI explain every step of the tattoo process from consulting, to deposit, to the appointment, to healing the tattoo itselfAfter years in the business I have never had a situation like this beforeShe filed this complaint on 1/7/to the Revdex.com and lied about our interactionsThat very same evening she e-mailed me AGAIN (after filing the complaint) saying she would come get tattooed by me if I would do a cheaper designI found it confusing that she would file this complaint and still want to do business with me*Please reference the e-mail attachment where we give her an initial quoteShe confirms the initial quote contrary to the quote she claimed in her Revdex.com review

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: she is accusing me of lying which is not true, and kept my money as well as not allowing me to have that money put down for another tattooShe also was extremely unprofessional when using such phrases as "bye Felicia" and other rude responsesThey claimed that if you put down a deposit that it will go towards a tattoo, and she would not allow me to receive a tattooIn addition, she claims that she has been working in the business as a tattoo artist for ywars and it clearly states on the website that this is her first year Regards, [redacted] ***

half hour, at an hourly rate of $140 an hour.  I explained in multiple e-mails that we require a deposit to schedule an appointment and that the deposit comes off the price of the tattoo when you get it. Deposits cover our time while we draw a custom tattoo design. When working with new clients our deposit policy is explained verbally, is hung in the tattoo studio and is also included in our automatic e-mail response.  I e-mailed on 1/3/16 to confirm her tattoo appointment for that Saturday (1/9/16), she said “can’t wait!”  Two days later, on 1/5/16 I received an e-mail saying her financial situation changed and that she “needed the money to pay for school.” She asked about changing the size of the design or getting a different design since she no longer had the money for the design I had been working on. In an effort to work with her budget I offered to make the tattoo smaller for $200-$220 ($100-$120 after her deposit is deducted). I invited her to come into the shop and look through a portfolio of flat-rate tattoo designs that would fit within her budget. As a third option, I offered to hold her deposit for 90 days until she was ready to get the tattoo.  In response I received 3 consecutive e-mails from her. The first two explained how she values my opinion, thinks I’m a great artist, apologized for taking up my time and said she’s learned a lot from this experience. She said she knows we don’t refund deposits but really needs the money for school. The 3rd e-mail demanded I refund her deposit. I responded to this e-mail within 5 hours and expressed that I understand her financial situation changed but that this is not a valid reason for me to refund her deposit. ALL her e-mails were answered within 24 hours, most of them within 3 hours.  I work one on one with individuals everyday. I explain every step of the tattoo process from consulting, to deposit, to the appointment, to healing the tattoo itself. After 10 years in the business I have never had a situation like this before. She filed this complaint on 1/7/16 to the Revdex.com and lied about our interactions. That very same evening  she e-mailed me AGAIN (after filing the complaint) saying she would come get tattooed by me if I would do a cheaper design. I found it confusing that she would file this complaint and still want to do business with me. *Please reference the e-mail attachment where we give her an initial quote. She confirms the initial quote contrary to the quote she claimed in her Revdex.com review.

I am rejecting this response because: she is accusing me of lying which is not true, and kept my money as well as not allowing me to have that money put down for another tattoo. She also was extremely unprofessional when using such phrases as "bye Felicia" and other rude responses. They claimed that if you put down a deposit that it will go towards a tattoo, and she would not allow me to receive a tattoo. In addition, she claims that she has been working in the business as a tattoo artist for 10 ywars and it clearly states on the website that this is her first year.
