The client asked us to come "relocate" a range receptacle
1. The range wire required a new receptacle moved from the front of the old range to the rear of the new range near the wall
-we removed the old
range
-we brought a receptacle with the number of wires described by the client, which was inaccurate
-we waited for minutes while the client obtained the information on the new range, which was unavailable when we arrived. It is important we know the specifications of the new unit for placement of the receptacle
-we do not charge for an apprentice if the apprentice is not required and does nothing but observe and clean up. This apprentice relocated the wire at the clients request while the journeyman ran for the appropriate receptacle
2. We have never been interested in dissatisfied customers, and are extremely fair-minded. However, to presume our services that day were worth only $is unacceptable, since I know she was advised that the basic service call for our shop is never less than $95.00. This was not a simple "change the existing receptacle," and the information we asked for to avoid a parts trip was inaccurate. Both journeyman and apprentice were as efficient as could be with a rather difficult customer to deal with. I will be willing to accept the $paid to this point, and write off the remainder as uncollectable.
