Terry Henricks Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram Inc.

For my very first car buying experience, I purchased a used trade in car from Terry Henricks in July of 2016. I paid in full that same day and drove off of the lot in that car. The license plates were taken off of my old car and put on my new car. I was told I would receive a title in the mail after 7-10 days to register the vehicle and transfer the plates. A month went by, and I did not receive the title nor hear from anyone at Terry Henricks. When I called to inquire, the woman stated, "Oh yeah, we don't have it. I forgot to call you." I drove around for that month with illegal license plates. They eventually sent me a temporary tag while I waited for the title (and a second one after I called to let them know the first one was expiring). During this time, I, as well as my dad who had purchased multiple trucks from this dealership, called to talk about the progress of this situation. Often times, there would be no call back, and we ended up talking to 4-5 different people trying to get answers.

Three months later, we came to the decision that this needed to be taken care of, and I was presented with three options. 1. Wait for the title. 2. Trade in for a different car or 3. A full refund. Ideally, I wanted a trade in because I needed a vehicle that day to be able to drive around. I told them I wanted an equal or greater than value for all of my hassle. I was offered a car with more mileage and listed for less than what I had already paid, and that was the only offer they could make me. Annoyed at this, I asked for a full refund and am now without a car. We agreed on a time, and my dad and I went to the dealership to pick up the refund. Granted we were just there for a check, but we were there a whole 5 minutes with barely an apology and no remorse for the situation that I was put through for my first experience with a dealership. The excuse I continued to hear was, "this has never happened before." However, I should not have been sold a car that they did not have a title for, more effort could've been made to satisfy the customer, and the lack of communication made an unfortunate situation an even worse experience. My dad and I will no longer be bringing our business to this company.
