Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I unfortunately clicked the response without realizing that I could havecommented.I would like to respond to Immediate Appliance Services response to mycomplaint.First I was told that the original technician could not be back out to checkthe problem until Tuesday because Monday was a holiday and he took the timeoff. Next, yes it is inconvenient not to have a working dryer because myhusband and I have 4 children and laundry piles up quickly with 6 people. IfI waited for the first tech to come back I would have been dryer less for 6days. When the second tech came out on Saturday he told me the lubricantshould never have been used in a dryer. He told me the smell was unlikely tocome out of the dryer without them replacing all the parts  and powerwashing the dryer. I was willing to give them every opportunity to removethe smell because I was very attached to my expensive dryer. I wascompletely reasonable when I was told it would probably take up to 4 weeksto get my dryer clean and odor free. I was grateful for the offer of aloaner dryer. I was fine paying and actually paid the amount of the newmotor. The charges have since been disputed by my credit card company. Theytold me they were 1000% sure they could remove the oil odor and I asked themin the event you can't remove the smell then what ?? They said they wouldn'tcharge me for the motor if they were unable to remove the odor. I said ifyou can't remove the odor the dryer is useless to me. I don't think it'sfair that the tech ruined my dryer and I just had to be ok with that. Ifyour 1000% sure then put in writing if you can not remove the smell you willreplace my dryer. After some back and forth conversation he agreed. He thenasked to speak with the tech. The tech took back the phone but still had iton speaker. He told the tech he would have to write it up and he had a planeto catch then he told him whatever you do DONT put it in writing that if wecan not get the smell out we will replace her dryer. At that point I knew hewas not even 20% sure he could get the smell out. I then let him know that Icould hear him and we were officially done. As I went to go back in my houseI thanked the tech for his time but I could hear his boss telling him to goback in the house and take the new motor out. I told the tech I appreciatehis time but he could not go back in my home. If the company was sure theycould remove the odor then my request of a replaced dryer was moot. I justwanted my dryer odor free and returned. It's unfortunate the tech used somuch lubricant and that it splattered everywhere. The inside of my dryersmells like heavy oil. I tried drying a load of wash and it reeked of oil. Ihave since purchased a new dyer and the old dryer is sitting unusable in mygarage. All I ask is the replacement cost of my dryer. They are welcome totake the old dryer with the new motor. 4 years ago I purchased a moreexpensive dryer in the hopes it would last awhile. Whether the dryer is 4 or14 years old is irrelevant. It needed to be replaced because of theirnegligence. If the boss had stuck to his word. Removed my dryer and put inwriting they would replace my dryer if he couldn't clear the odor I wouldhave been happy to give them a few weeks in the hope of getting my dryerback. Because the boss told me yes he'd put it in writing and then told thetech (when he thought I couldn't hear him) to NOT put it in writing toreplace my dryer if they couldn't get the smell out I felt I had no choicebut to take my complaint to the Revdex.com to resolve. If he is unwilling toresolve this issue I will be filing in small claims court.Thank you,[redacted]

In response to [redacted] complaint ([redacted]) we had our technician Mike out her home on October 6 2016 to diagnose her dryer and was back out on October 7th to replace the motor. Mike needed to remove the defective motor to install a new motor and the blower wheel was seized on...

to the old motor, Mike needed to use a lubricant to remove the blower wheel from the motor to not have to break blower off and save [redacted] any additional cost. Mike informed [redacted] that the odor will dissipate within time. [redacted] called back on the October 8th with a complaint of odor and being a Saturday the original technician was not scheduled to work and we like to send the original technician, our office dispatcher Matt told Mrs Alia we could have Mike out to her home on Monday 10/10/16 and [redacted] refused to wait until Monday. Matt called the company manager in which authorized a technician to get out to her home on that Saturday 10/8 the technician Matt B[redacted] called the manager and told the manager [redacted] had to get her clothes dried for her children's hockey game and he suggested we take the machine to the shop to run the dryer to expedite any lingering odor. The company manager called [redacted] and informed her we would close our office one hour early to have a dryer delivered to her that day so she wouldn't be inconvenienced, John assured [redacted] 1,000 % to honor our warranty from the date we delivered her dryer back and that the odor would be removed from the dryer. Our company did everything to accommodate [redacted] on 10/8/16 and felt it was extremely unreasonable that [redacted] expect a full refund and for Immediate appliance to be expected to replace a 4 year old dryer with a brand new dryer. We had never refused to honor our warranty, John just offered to extend any warranty from the date we got her machine back to her and their was never any mention of any additional cost to [redacted]. We felt her demanding a brand new dryer and a full refund after giving her a loaner ( in which) she still demands would be based on [redacted]'s sole arbitrary opinion and that was the only thing we refused to put into writing, (replacing a 4 year old dryer with a brand new dryer and a full refund) not that we would honor our warranty or the any residual lubricant odor would be removed from her dryer.                                     ... Sincerely, Robert G[redacted]
