We did have a technician that made a mistake and deployed airbags when installing an airbag system component. That technician was terminated due to that mistake. We called the customer and were completely honest about what had happened. We paid for the customer's rental car until
we completed the vehicle repairs from the accident along with the additional repairs that were needed due to the accidental airbag deployment. The collision damage did amount to a $12,repair. The vehicle arrived at our facility on 7/31/17, repairs were completed on 9/29/and the customer picked up on 10/2/17. The biggest delay in the repairs were for parts on his new Mazda that took weeks to acquire. The customer called us on 10/10/with a scraping sound under his vehicle. We purchased a new lower shield and once it came in from Mazda, we installed it for him under warranty. We were not made aware of the battery issue until reading this complaint and we have no notes regarding this issue. In regards to the door glass: This door glass has absolutely nothing to do with the work that we completed on his vehicle months agoWe tried to get the glass vendor to warranty the glass as a courtesy but they would notThe glass has a plastic mount that is glued to it(Picture attached of the original glass and replacement glass mounts glued onto the glass: That plastic mount is bolted to the regulator that moves the glass up and down in the rubber glass run channelWe looked for any obstruction or issue that could possibly have broken that window and we found there to be no reason the glass shattered due to installationSince the vehicle was outside in his apartment complex parking lot when the window shattered it is definitely possible that someone vandalized the vehicle or were attempting to break into it and since there was window tint film holding the pieces together the perpetrator did not pursue their attemptWhen the customer has the window replaced by another company, please have them inspect the door to see if there was an installation issue or some issue with the door and related componentsIf they find that something we did caused the glass to shatter in the middle of the night, we will take care of the cost of replacing that window. We are saddened that this customer had a bad experience with us, but we will continue to always go above and beyond for our customers and do our best to provide customer service that we would give to our own families

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have already scheduled to have my window repaired by someone else. I do not expect Burnside Express to fix this. My car was parked in front of my house by my garage with three other cars in the driveway with snow still lightly covering the exterior of my car due to the half inch of snowfall we saw over the weekend. When I went to clean my car Tuesday morning prior to going to work I noticed the window was shattered and did not see any footprints leading up to my car. Snow was still covering the shattered window and I saw the damage from inside my car after going in to start it. If someone had attempted to break in the night before, snow was already covering my car and driveway from the previous night and it would've been apparent. I had went into my car after the snow to get something out and my window was not shattered then. Saying my car was parked at an apartment parking lot fits the excuse Burnside Express has come up with. I have never mentioned to them I live at an apartment or parked my car at a parking lot. From asking others and researching I learned about spontaneous glass breakage. This is said to be caused by defects in the glass such as nicks or chips found on the edges of the glass that doesn't result in immediate breakage but can occur over time after stress concentrations occur around the nicks. The stress in this case being the below negative temperatures we saw around the first of the year. If this is something the company is not aware of, I would be glad to provide a presentation for the team working at Burnside Express.  Because of my experience with Burnside Express and their lack of workmanship I believe they did not properly install the window to my car and/or the window that was used was defective. For a company to overlook something as simple as properly tightening a car battery's connections, or not properly securing my car's lower shield(which the company's response did not mention was due to the fact they forgot to screw a connecting piece to the lower shield), nicking the driver side's mirror, deploying all the airbags in my car and other issues that I am still unaware of I find it hard to difficult to understand how they can argue this. They are not capable of  the work they advertise if they have to fire an employee for deploying all the airbags in a car.  It's deeply saddening to believe a company that somehow has 5 star reviews online is willing to not respect their agreed upon warranty over a $200 window replacement for a job they made over $12,000. If this was clearly my fault and not something they could cover under warranty their manager Andy should've told me immediately instead having his coworker call me 4 days later, after causing my already shattered window to slip a quarter of the way down.
Regards,
