We are very sorry to hear about Mr. [redacted] complaint.  We reviewed the transaction and feel it is necessary to clarify a few key points.   Mr [redacted] purchased a used 2004 Ford Truck from us on Feb 1, 2017.  Because of the age of the vehicle, It was sold "As-Is"  We...

explained to Mr [redacted] that although the truck was inspected, emissioned, and safety tested, we were selling the vehicle "As-Is".    Mr [redacted] transaction took 23 days to finalize with the lender.  During this time we were in constant contact with him and  Mr [redacted] did not mention any issues with the vehicle. On April 27th, 86 days later, we received a call from Mr. [redacted] stating his check engine light was on and he wanted us to make repairs on the vehicle.   We are willing to help Mr. [redacted] with the trade of his vehicle and will make every reasonable attempt to help him out of the situation.

Although I cannot be certain, I believe we made an inspection error on the vehicle. It is my opinion that our technician overestimated the amount of break pad remaining on Ms. [redacted] vehicle.  As a result, in addition to apologizing, we have replaced both the front and rear brakes and...

We hired another company [redacted] to steam clean and pressure wash remove the garage stain from [redacted] home. Our service director, [redacted] received a phone call from [redacted] this morning; June 18th to let us know he was satified with the job the new company had done....

Following Mr. [redacted]’s complaint, we invited him to the store to attempt to trade him into an alternative vehicle.   My team and I spent a significant amount of time attempting to assist.  We could not arrive at terms that were acceptable.   As noted on our original correspondence, the problems that exist with the truck were not present when we sold the vehicle close to three months and three thousand miles ago.    Sincerely,   Frank K[redacted] Executive Manager

Unfortunately, although it appears simple, in activating a non cruise controlled vehicle is very complex with great risks.   This particular vehicle is a throttle by wire system which means it does not use a conventional throttle  cable. Instead it has a computer controlled throttle...

motor with many safety features and systems. Due to the potential safety hazards of an electrically controlled throttle system we cannot modify or change the factory design.                              There are a few independent shops that will install a safety tested aftermarket system.  However, for many safety reasons we highly recommend against doing this. .The possible issues include:  stalling, unintended acceleration and other potential safety concerns.     Relating to the previous repairs listed,  we welcome an appointment to both review and go on a test drive to remedy all of your concerns.
