Thank you for addressing your complaint in public, as it gives me the opportunity to respond in a civil public manner.First the cost of your class was $per person, of which $is for an online class that is non refundable Secondly we are very sorry and concerned that you were
bitten by a poisonous spider two days before your class was scheduled The issue is, we have limited number of students allowed in a class and we had turned away numerous students due to the fact that the class you were scheduled in was at full capacityOnce you canceled two days before you were scheduled, there was not time to fill your spots ( I still had to pay an instructor even though you were a no show)Now to reschedule you and your fiance for another date, I take away a spot for a full paying student I still have to pay an instructor to teach you, therefore the $reschedule feeSo just to be clear, I am losing money because I now have you filling the spot of a full paying student, and using your $to pay the instructor teaching.I understand that you were not canceling just to cancel Emergencies happen, but I still have a business to run I do care about you as a paying customer, thats why I offered you the opportunity to either pay a rescheduling fee, or receive a refund minus your online fee By the way, your online class is good for a year at any PADI DIVE Center You chose a refund which I gladly sent to you in the amount of $per person Remember the remaining portion went to the online fee which is non refundable ,but good for a year for you to complete your Scuba Certification I hope now that time has passed you are able to clearly see the reasoning behind a reschedule fee I would never ask you to perform a job for free, and even though I lose money with rescheduling you, I still need to pay the instructor and the reason I charge $for that re schedule Your refund check of $was delivered on Aug 3, SCUBA certification
