Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I'm not really sure where they are getting the date of the 24th from since Today is the 24th and I was in there on Saturday and I am definitely not a tech studentPlease stop making things upI initially purchased animals from you on the 16thI remember specifically because someone had tried to run me over on my bicycle that morning and I had my roommate bring me to emotional shop for fishI remember this clearlyI tried for the next few days to reach someone via phone, but was always put on hold or hung up onOn Thursday, October 19th, I took to facebookAfter getting no answer back, I posted a review the morning of October 20th and then finally received an answer from the ownerOn October 21st I returned to the store as I said I would via facebook and told the owner I would like a refundHe said noI told him about my experiences and this only mad him angry and he began suggesting it was my faultBefore even going toward the tank, the owner wanted to test my water so I brought him a sampleHe refused to do it himself and had an employee do itHe was visibly annoyed at the results because he knew he was for sure going to have to hand over inventory(On my initial post to facebook, I was told that there was no problem, I would be able to receive the fish – a day later, I was informed that I would need to bring a water sample – it seems like he already knew something was up with his fish and wanted to pin it on my tank) After everything, he refused to replace all of the fish and only gave me (even though had died)I angrily took them, not wanting to feel like I had a total loss, then told another person not to shop their while I looked at dead Oscar cichlids stuck to a sponge filterThe ember tetra the owner gave me did not make it homeThey went belly up in the bag on a minute car rideI tried calling the owner, but every time I did, he would say I was yelling and just hang upEventually, he just started answering the phone and then hanging up without saying anythingThe owner has blocked me from communicating with them via facebook and has removed my initial postThey never responded to my review of their store, unlike they claimYou can go check that for yourself, and if they post today, it will have a time stamp (which is how I know I posted the review of your store exactly @ 8:am on October 20th) It really seems like they are starting to make things up since it is currently 8:20ish am on October 24th as I type this response, so unless I can time travel, I'm not really sure how I have visited or called their store today since they do not open until am I have not visited since the 21st and have not called since the 21stI didn't demand a refund until after the owner wanted to shift the blame from his care, to mineThis literally only happens with his live stock and it would seem that if he has so many people complaining that he can't keep the dates straight or even the details of the encounter straight, there is something bigger happeningAnd considering your "employees" are related to you, it won't be super helpful to get their take on the matter since they will clearly favor you and I assume you stay in business by having the whole family lie You cannot claim that you want to work with someone and then refuse to communicate with themI so believe that you are harming your animals I reported you to the City and the SPCA as wellDo I still want my money back for the dead ember tetras? YesDo I want to continue to have communication or shop at your store ever again? Maybe, but probably not It is for this reason I was forced to turn to the Revdex.comThe owner of this store is selling stories and blaming any customer that he has a problem with and most likely abusing some, if not all, of his animalsOn top of everything, he refuses to communicate with people that do experience a problem and tell lies about that experienceIt is becoming more and more apparent that he is not an ethical business-personI only contacted the Revdex.com because I could not get the owner to communicate with meThe owner has done everything in their power to silence my complaintsRegards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Mix up in dates? I straight don't think you are comprehending realityYou wrote a response to a complaint filled on the 21st (a complaint that had the dates of events in it) on October 23rd and then said I had been in your store October 24th. You do not even know what day of the week it is, let alone which customer I actually amAlmost nothing you have said has been true and either you have me mixed up with someone else that had a problem with you, or maybe you're suffering in other waysI don't really know. On October 16th I entered your store between 4:- 5:00pm for the specific purpose of buying and only ember tetrasThe Price was + taxI paid that. I tried for the next few days to reach you via phone, but never got an answer, or would be placed on hold and never gotten back to or some other non-senseFinally, on October 19th I took to facebook to get some sort of answer from you at this point saying I was going to report you to the Revdex.com because of the quality of customer service as well as the poor product you provideA day passed and I hear nothing so I review the storeThen I get a response on facebookOn October 21st I return to your store and try to get my money back, but you become irate and argumentative and don't listen so I take the fish and leaveI try to call, but every time I do you say I'm yelling and hang up. This happens or times before I give up, attempt to reach out on facebook again only to discover my comments deleted and communication blocked, and then write my complaint to the Revdex.com.This is just a long, on going process for no reason other than the owner is making it one. The owner of this business does not even know the day things happen even when provided with the information and claims things are happening in the future of his own response (I can understand getting dates mixed up, but to write a letter on the 23rd and in said letter you claim I was in your store on the 24thSomething is wrong.)I do not know what is happening with this business nor it's owner, but I do not even really feel safe to return there if the owner is so out of touch as to not even know the current date or day of the week. None of this makes sense and I really just want my + Tax back and to never ever talk to you again because you are clearly unstable.

Sorry about the mixup on the dates.I will not be yelled at over the phone.  If you become abusive over the phone, I will hang up.  If you become abusive on Facebook you will be blocked.

On October 20, this customer purchased 10 ember tetras.  The price of the fish was $3.00 each but he received a quantity discount making them $2 each.  The customer also purchased 3 assassin snails for $2.50 each making his total $27.50 plus tax $2.27 for a total sale of $29.77.On October...

24, the customer messaged Texas Aquatics on facebook saying that he was having trouble with the ember tetras he purchased.  Before we could respond to the customers message, he reviewed our store saying we had bad fish and that people should seek their fish elsewhere.  We responded to his message saying we were sorry to hear the customer was having issues and we would replace the fish he had problems with--5 ember tetras.  On October 24, the customer came into our store demanding a refund.  We declined and said the best we could do was replace 5 of the customer ember tetras.  We showed the customer the fish in our aquarium and bagged 5 of the fish for the customer.  The customer left our store and within a few minutes the customer started calling our business.  He was yelling over the phone and I told him I would not allow this and hung up the phone. The customer stated that he was a "Tech Student" and that we should give him his money back and threatened to hurt our business.We have done all we could to satisfy this customer and we are sorry to hear that he is having continued problems.  We would welcome working with this customer, although we will not give him a cash refund.
