We understand the nature of the complaint and are sympathetic to the customer. This particular vehicle still has a factory warranty on it and the manufacturer of the vehicle will cover any and all repairs required. The vehicle the customer traded in two months ago has already been sold
and we are unable to get it back, so that particular remedy is unavailable to us at this time. I would like to know more information as to why the dealer and/or manufacturer is refusing to fix the car when it is under manufacturer warranty. This is why the warranty is there so that anything that goes wrong is fixable. I was shocked to read that the manufacturer of the vehicle told the customer that they have had numerous issues with the car, I would like to know the contact information of the person that told her that. We contacted Buick customer service and asked them if they were able to release any information to us and they informed us that since we were not the owner of the car they could not release any information to us but did say that as long as a vehicle is still under manufacturer warranty they stand behind every *** manufactured.
While we understand the customers frustration, we cannot resolve the issue the way the customer is asking because the car she traded in is already owned by someone else and therefore cannot be returned. We would be more than happy to refer the customer to any *** Dealership of her choosing if she has not received satisfaction from the one she has been dealing with. The manufacturer through its dealer network is required by federal law to cover the car for its prescribed warranty period bumper to bumper. If the car is not working properly for any reason she has a right to bring it to any *** Dealership to make it right. It would not make sense for us to do any of the work here as *** dealerships have much more sophisticated equipment and trained technicians specifically for *** vehicles.
I have listed below dealers that are closest to the zip code provided by the customer in the vicinity of zip code 77053: This information comes directly from the *** Website. Everyone of these dealers is authorized to repair any *** under warranty. The dealer that is closest to us Is #on the list *** *** ***. We have a working relationship with that dealership and would be more than happy to get her in contact with someone there if she would like. Overall customer satisfaction is important to us, every vehicle is inspected prior to being placed in inventory for sale, we do our best to ensure that vehicles are in good working order prior to sale or if there is a known issue we document the issue prior to sale on our own document called a We Owe. This document is not required by the State but is provided by our dealership specifically for this type of situation.
I am not trying to pass the buck nor are we not trying to resolve the issue, but this car has to be fully repaired by the manufacturer. This car was sold without one of our internal service contracts for this very reason. Whenever we sell a car that is out of factory warranty we sell an additional product that covers the car in the event of a mechanical failure. This car was not sold this product specifically because it was still under manufacturer warranty.
We do have the customers license plates here at our office, we can either mail them directly to her or she can come in and pick them up and we can put them on the car for her. She may let us know what she wants us to do at her earliest convenience

The car was run through our inspection process just like every other car on our lot.  When we test drove and inspected the car none of the issues that you were having came up, if they had come up we would not have been able to sell you the car.  To ask us to refund money on a car that was sold as-is is unreasonable and we cannot accommodate that request, especially when the car is under manufacturer warranty.  I still have yet to receive the information on who you talked to at [redacted] that told you that the car has had major issues.  This is extremely important information, I have never had a manufacturer not stand behind their warranty.  If you could give me the name and number of the people that you have dealt with I would love to speak with them and find out exactly what is going on.  We can help resolve your issues but I cannot do that if I do not have the complete picture.  We have a strong relationship with [redacted] and as long as the car is under its manufacturers warranty they have to fix your car.  Is the car in the shop right now?  Has the car been fixed? 
We will mail your plates today to the address provided to us when you purchased the car.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10249188, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  
I don't believe that the car was thoroughly checked due to the fact that the check engine light came on the SAME day I got it.  I  already have taken my car to the dealer 4 times to be exact and I know how to locate more so thanks but that will not help me at all as well. I  would like my down payment back so I can purchase another car because this car is a pure Lemon and I'm tired of taking it to the dealer already. I will also will need my tags mailed to me.  I knew that the buck would be passed before I filed this complaint. I just wanted the car lot to take some responsibility and try to SATISFY their customer.  As of yet I haven't received any kind of help in dealing with this matter and I'm not happy at all about that. I thought this was a good lot and it would've been had a lemon not have been sold to me.
