Revdex.com / Texas Best Movers: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that while this resolution doesn't fully address the issue, I have no more energy to continue responding. The business can immediately send a check, addressed to [redacted] , to: [redacted] , TX ***in the amount of $ Let it be known that it was the bedframe, which is very heavy, that caused the damage as a corner was dropped and slightly dragged on the floor I do not believe it was caused by the previous tenant, but at the same time, as a business owner, I respect that [redacted] does not want this complaint on his business record and I'll agree to settle this with prompt payment Should the check not be received at my home address by [redacted] ***, I will reopen this complaint and leave it unresolved.- [redacted]

Good MorningThis is our response to [redacted] 's response to our response It seems that we agree on all the details of the move The communication breakdown with regards to this claim has been completely our fault and I am again apologizing for that We provided a very quick efficient moving service at a very reasonable rate [redacted] has asked for compensation for two damages he claims occurred during the service, one of which we are taking his word for He showed us a mark the size of a grain of rice on a shelving unit He later valued that mark at $ We have accepted that claim and are willing to issue payment for that right away The second damage he is claiming is a little different During the moving service he and I stood in the garage for most of the time He explained to me how he was charging his previous tenants for damages to his townehome and how he was nervous about his walls and floors with our movers and their dollies Most of the [redacted] "s belongings went downstairs without incident Of the few things that went upstairs only two pieces were large enough and hard enough to cause the mark on their floor that they are submitting a damage claim for The reason we are not accepting responsibility for that damage is because of the special care that was taken when moving those items upstairs Because of [redacted] 's concerns over his walls and floors our movers didn't use their dollies and hand carried those pieces up the stairs and placed them directly where [redacted] wanted them Because of the special care and the fact that these pieces never touched the walls or floor before being placed, we are absolutely certain that this damage wasn't caused by our movers That's not to say that [redacted] is being dishonest or anything like that It's quite possible he just didn't notice it until then The mark on the floor wasn't very obvious It could only be seen at the right angle and the right lighting When he showed it to me I initially couldn't see it We had to stand in the right place where the light reflected on it the right way This complaint is very discerning because we have to decide whether to pay the $ [redacted] is asking for so he can withdraw his complaint or do we do what we know is right We try very hard to provide an excellent service to our customers and we value our reputation In fact, the [redacted] were referred to us by another customer of ours More than half of our business is from repeat business and referrals We moved more than a thousand people last year How many complaints has the Revdex.com received? The reason we don't have complaints against us is because we try very hard to be fair and responsible for our work Please understand that our offer to [redacted] is fair We are willing to pay what he's asking for the mark on the shelving unit but we're not going to consider the damage to the floor because we are certain it didn't happen during our service Best Regards, [redacted] Texas Best Movers [redacted] ,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint While it is true that a tenant moved out prior to our move-in, the documented areas of floor damage had already been recorded through our property management company, and the biggest one, caused by Texas Best Movers, was not in that list. The Texas Best Movers caught a big break as the flooring Company that came out to fix the floor already had to come out, so the service charge was already paid for by the previous tenants. The scratch at the top of the stairs was caused by the movers dropping the corner of the bed frame as they got to the top and drug it across as they went to pick it back up. The fact that they have not been able to contact me is absurd. Even the delivery page has our new address and my phone number, I have not received any forwarded mail from my last address, and he's received the email(s).I'm willing to settle for $80-and withdraw my complaint. The check can be sent directly to us:*** *** *** ***,

I have spoken with the owner of Texas Best Movers and we have resolved the issue.

Hello,  I'm [redacted] of Texas Best Movers.  It seems we've had difficulty communicating with [redacted].  I suspect the Moving Services Contract used for his move was an older version and had an outdated address on it.  We did not receive his mailed damage claims.  The...

address at the top of this complaint is our current address.  This of course is our fault and I apologize for the mix up.  I did however speak with him on the phone and received his email.  I did mail a response to his claim and an offer of compensation.  He only needed to sign and mail it back to us.  Our response wasn't sent by certified mail but we did get a certificate of postage.  I assumed that we didn't hear from him because our offer of compensation was less than the $150 he requested.  According to [redacted] he and his [redacted] had their townhome rented out to tenants and they moved out the day before we moved the [redacted] in.  I was actually there during the moving service and he explained to me how he was charging them for damages as well.  We believe the damage to their floor was something that happened before we arrived at the residence.  The damage to the floor was upstairs and very little of what our movers moved actually went upstairs.  Because [redacted] was very concerned about our dollies on the stairwell, our movers hand carried the two pieces that went upstairs.  For that reason we can say with certainty that the damage to the floor didn't occur during our move.  The other damage [redacted] is requesting compensation for is a small mark on a shelving unit.  He claims the value of that damage is $30.  We have not denied this damage and have offered to pay the amount he is requesting.  He can print out this letter, make a little note accepting the $30, sign, and mail it to us.  Upon receipt, we'll gladly issue a payment.   [redacted], [redacted]  I would like to take this opportunity to again apologize for the inconvenience and for having damaged your furniture.  We value you as a customer.  I can assure you everything was done to prevent damages from occurring but accidents do happen.  Thank you for your business.

Revdex.com of Metropolitan Houston and David [redacted]In response to Mr [redacted]'s complaint;  First of all, we would like to express how much we value Mr [redacted] as a customer.  Most of our business is repeat customers and referrals.  It's our intention to exceed expectations at a very reasonable...

price.  We received Mr [redacted]'s damage claim on April 23, 2015 and we mailed our response on May 2, 2015 well within the time frame prescribed by law.  During that time period we communicated both by phone and text messages.  We responded quickly to most of his communications.  There were times when an immediate response wasn't possible.  The television set Mr [redacted] is referring to was damaged in a way that couldn't be seen unless it was turned on.  The TV was moved/relocated at least twice, once by Mr [redacted] to his storage unit and again by our staff from the storage to his new home.  When our movers arrived at the storage facility Mr [redacted]'s belongings were obviously unprofessionally stacked in a big pile in the middle of his storage unit.  The Damaged television was in the bottom of the pile with household goods piled all around it and on top of it.  Our movers moved all of the contents of the unit to Mr [redacted]'s new residence.  A large thick blanket/furniture pad was placed on the television and it was tied with the screen facing the wall of the truck while being transported.  At no time during the moving service did Mr [redacted] express any concern about the way the movers moved his belongings or his television and he stood there close by observing the whole process.  It was only several hours later, after the movers were long gone, did Mr [redacted] call about his damaged television.  There's really no way of knowing whether the TV was damaged when Mr [redacted] moved it into his storage unit, during our moving service, or after we left.  We feel confident that our movers properly moved the appliance and after much consideration, because no one can ascertain when the damage occurred we will not be able to compensate Mr [redacted] for his claim. Steve A[redacted] - Texas Best Movers

Good Morning.. This is our response to [redacted]'s response to our response.  It seems that we agree on all the details of the move.  The communication breakdown with regards to this claim has been completely our fault and I am again apologizing for that.  We provided a very quick efficient moving service at a very reasonable rate.  [redacted] has asked for compensation for two damages he claims occurred during the service, one of which we are taking his word for.  He showed us a mark the size of a grain of rice on a shelving unit.  He later valued that mark at $30.  We have accepted that claim and are willing to issue payment for that right away.  The second damage he is claiming is a little different.  During the moving service he and I stood in the garage for most of the time.  He explained to me how he was charging his previous tenants for damages to his townehome and how he was nervous about his walls and floors with our movers and their dollies.  Most of the [redacted]"s belongings went downstairs without incident.  Of the few things that went upstairs only two pieces were large enough and hard enough to cause the mark on their floor that they are submitting a damage claim for.  The reason we are not accepting responsibility for that damage is because of the special care that was taken when moving those items upstairs.  Because of [redacted]'s concerns over his walls and floors our movers didn't use their dollies and hand carried those pieces up the stairs and placed them directly where [redacted] wanted them.  Because of the special care and the fact that these pieces never touched the walls or floor before being placed, we are absolutely certain that this damage wasn't caused by our movers.  That's not to say that [redacted] is being dishonest or anything like that.  It's quite possible he just didn't notice it until then.  The mark on the floor wasn't very obvious.  It could only be seen at the right angle and the right lighting.  When he showed it to me I initially couldn't see it.  We had to stand in the right place where the light reflected on it the right way.   This complaint is very discerning because we have to decide whether to pay the $80 [redacted] is asking for so he can withdraw his complaint or do we do what we know is right.  We try very hard to provide an excellent service to our customers and we value our reputation.  In fact, the [redacted] were referred to us by another customer of ours.  More than half of our business is from repeat business and referrals.  We moved more than a thousand people last year.  How many complaints has the Revdex.com received?  The reason we don't have complaints against us is because we try very hard to be fair and responsible for our work.  Please understand that our offer to [redacted] is fair.  We are willing to pay what he's asking for the mark on the shelving unit but we're not going to consider the damage to the floor because we are certain it didn't happen during our service.   Best Regards, [redacted] Texas Best Movers [redacted],
