Texas Building Contractors were very professional and assisted with my claim for additional damages approved (On initial inspection they were not approved). They also helped with the complexity of documents needed for approvals with the HOA like Architectural Approval form, description of proposed changes to the roof and a copy of the plot.

Job well done in short period of time. I would recommend Texas Building Contractors to anyone in similar situation.

I hired this contractor to remove and replace fascia (exterior trim) on my home that had been improperly installed by another contractor. I was disappointed by this conractor for several reasons:
1) In our contract, I specified that all materials would be installed according to the manufacturer's directions to ensure durability and enforcability of the manufacturer's warranty. The contractor and his subcontractors had great difficulty following the manufacturer's instructions, 26% compliance on the first attempt and 75% compliance on the second attempt. The contractor was not willing or able to install the proper flashings where the trim ends met exterior walls or place fasteners at the specified spacing.
2) This contractor has an unusual practice of adding additional content to a contract that has already been signed by both parties. In the available blank space, below the existing writing, he added new writing. This prevented me from reviewing the additional writing before signing and gives the appearance that the new writing was part of the original contract.
3) The contract used by this contractor specifies that any desired changes to contract or claims of defects must be submitted in writing via certified mail within a limited time period. All certified mail sent to this contractor were returned to sender without being claimed or received by the contractor.
4) While on my property, the contractor was found with an activated anti-theft device that had not been removed or de-activated by the retailer that placed the anti-theft device on the merchandise, a power tool. The retailer claimed that the merchandise had been stolen.
5) This contractor told me that he dislikes "black people", which is his perogative, but made me wish I had never hired him.
6) After terminating the project and asking the contractor not to return for the reasons specified above, and after paying the contractor for all work performed, this contractor insisted that I owed additional money for the time spent providing estimates for other projects and insisted that I had to allow him to complete the additional roofing project for which an a contract had been signed.
7) This contractor threatened legal action by an attorney if I did not remove the negative review I posted on social media (Yelp, Google).
