acupuncture program. The education industry is a highly regulated industry and there is strict oversight to assure there is truth in advertising. There are several processes that we follow in our admissions department to ensure that we do not mislead students and to maintain good standing with our accrediting agency. The steps in our admissions process are as follows:1. Applicant submits an application for admission and pays the application fee. The application is assigned to a representative in our admission department who follows up the applicant on all documents needed to make an admission decision.2. upon acceptance, the applicant is mailed a copy of our comprehensive school catalog, enrollment agreement, and acceptance letter. The allegation that THSIJ is a "medical school and that we train Medical Doctors (MDs) to practice in the traditional medical field" is completely false and without merit. Nowhere is it mentioned in the enrollment documents that [redacted] is a medical school and that we train Medical Doctors (MDs) to practice in the traditional medical field.3. Once the documents are received, the applicant is required to attend orientation and register for courses.According to our records, [redacted] completed all three steps and sat in class as a registered student. His recollection of the dates he attended [redacted] is not correct. Therefore, his request for an additional refund for tuition and a full refund for travel from Bellerose, NY to Austin, TX to attend school cannot be honored. [redacted] completed the required federal return of title IV funds (RT4) when [redacted] was administratively withdrawn. The calculation required that [redacted] refund $3,369.00 in unearned tuition to the US Department of Education which was made   on 2-24-15.Documents Reviewed1.
