Ms. [redacted],   I hope your doing well today.  We spoke briefly last week regarding a complaint made by a customer at Texas Fleet Pro.  Per your request I'm...

sending a summary of events for our transaction with [redacted].  We received his truck that he had recently purchased from another customer of ours.  The seller agreed to pay up to $500.00 to have his truck repaired of an oil leak.  When we notified [redacted] of the repairs which involved replacing a aluminum cover that had been overtightened, he opted to replace the seal and hope that stopped leak.  With in one day he returned and stated that once he truck heated up the leak was present again.  When he arrived he asked us to replace the aluminum cover, which we ordered brand new from the manufacturer.  We explained to [redacted] that he will need to order new gaskets and seals, even though they were only a couple days used, because your talking about $3,000.00 in parts and labor and he wanted to cut corners on $150 worth of gaskets.  This irritated him but we would have to redo entire job if we used the old seal and they were damaged.  We reassembled the unit and [redacted] was there most of the time looking over the job, we asked him to drive the unit to heat up motor and lets see if the oil leak was fixed.  [redacted] never returned.  We called him several times and he told us he could not afford to pay to fix job and that we were responsible for his repairs.  We immediately called the sheriff's department on [redacted] for thief of services and sent [redacted] a letter along with the invoice.  He then asked us to accept 2 post dated checks which we agreed to and he still continued to avoid paying his invoice.  We gave him an ultimatium of that evening or we were filling chargers and the sheriff's department was going to go get him.  He had his wife call and then eventually fax us a copy of a paint and body estimate saying we scratched his truck and we were in charge of his repairs.  He stated dents to be repaired that the original owner, also our customer, verified were present when he owned the truck.  We told [redacted] to bring the truck to our paint and body vendor and we would work on a settlement for any damage incurred while we were working on his unit.  His wife did pay the bill and we never heard from [redacted] again.   Please feel free to reply with any questions you may have.   [redacted] GCO Trucking LLC.
