Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have spoken with my Insurance company and they have Texas Medicine Resources listed as a provider at the time they provided the care. I spoke with [redacted] with the insurance company and they have confirmed the above information. I am requesting to know when Texas Medicine Resources ended their relationship with Baylor Scott and White Insurance company because as of the date of services rendered they were a provider. I understand that hospital emergency room fees are generally higher than if I go to my regular doctor.  Please note that the information I had to work with was that I was going to Texas Health Resources Health & Wellness Center.   Their name does not say hospital.   It appears that they are possibly running a health and wellness center.  We were never informed that we were at a hospital emergency room or at a hospital at all.   We were at Texas Health Resources Health and Wellness Center.  Even on their website, they are listed as Texas Health Resources Health and Wellness.  Looking at their other locations, they differentiate between hospitals, ER facilities, and health and wellness centers.   Perhaps they may be attempting to mislead or confuse patients as they did us.  In her response, [redacted] stated that "Care for acute care is higher than in a doctor's office."  With the "acute care" he was provided, he received no care, no medicines, no prescriptions, requiring us to go to our regular doctor the following day.  His regular doctor had to give him competent medical care and appropriate prescriptions, including for steroid and antibiotic.  Does acute care mean no care but price gouging -- less than three minutes for over $[redacted]?!   I understand that they may be confused because they have traveling physicians going to all the different Texas Health facilities throughout the metroplex.  Perhaps they mistakelny billed us as if this was a hospital emergency room.  I can understand a mistake.  However, when they say they were not providers, this confuses me as my insurance company (who paid them per provider rates) confirmed that they are in fact a provider.  Therefore, we again request that you adjust your billing to meet appropriate provider rates.   We hope that we can resolve this issue through mediation by the Revdex.com.  However, we need Texas Medicine Resources to assist in this process and come to an amicable resolution.

Dear Mrs. [redacted],Thank you for your response concerning your account. We have reviewed the charges on your account and they are correct. We stand by the level we have coded and I am enclosing a copy of the coding audit which supports CPT code  The charge for each CPT code is assessed based on a survey of fees charged in the Fort Worth area by an independent third party who is widely recognized within the medical industry for its compilation of physician fees. Our fees are also in line with fees for this area shown on the website fairhealth.org.We are not trying to be unreasonable. We understand the frustration caused by being out of network with your insurance however we do not agree with the amount determines to be usual and customary. has not processed this claim correctly. We are not in-network. In the past we have called to reprocess but they will not deal with the provider. If the insured/patient will call, will reprocess and they will often reprocess for the full balance. We are simply asking you to contact your insurance and request that they reprocess the claim. If you choose not to appeal with your insurance, as a courtesy we can offer you a 75% discount on your remaining balance   leaving you with pay. Please call our office to let us know if you will be accepting the discount will be reprocessing the claim.Sincerely,[redacted]Texas Medicine ResourcesPO Box 8549 Fort Worth TX 76124[redacted]Enclosures cc: Revdex.com (redacted)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute.
Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.I am very willing to settle this account with an additional payment of $75.00 - which is double the amount considered "fair" by the insurance company for the service rendered. I agree with Aetna that the amount you are billing is excessive for the service provided. Agreement to pay this additional amount is a good faith attempt to reach agreement.

The response does not address the problem. Rather they are putting blame on the veteran. How is it the responsibility of the veteran to provide medical records so that this company can submit those records to pay there invoice. No were in there response does this vendor state that they are going to fix the problem. However they do recognize that a problem exists, in there reply and that they will remove my balance until they get a response from the VA. This is there invoice not mine, it is the responsibility of this company to resolve there issues with the VA not me. Further more they work with Texas Health Resources who has the complete records, maybe they would be who to contact. This is in my opinion boarder line discrimination against disabled veterans in that it only effects disabled veterans in its policy. I have contacted the VA with regards to this being discrimination as well as the Attorney Gen. who seem to be interested in the conduct of this company. In addition this company is not stating that they are responsible in any way that there company policies and work flow may be the problem ,,.They have to rely on others to provide the medical records to the VA. That is not normal. All the other vendors related to this event have been paid in full. As a matter of fact 25,754.00 were paid out to other vendors for this case by the VA. I think this company needs to figure out what they are not doing correctly in order to get paid as all the others have. The fact that they are not removing this  account but holding it as a hostage for some future problem, reflects the attitude that I would be held responsible for there inability solve the problems of this company in how they go about getting paid by the VA.
Revdex.comMESSAGE FROM BUSINESS:I apologize if I was not clear in my letter. We have adjusted your balance and we will no longer request payment from you.
