Texas Movers Now Reviews (22)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I appreciate the offer, but it is only fair to acknowledge that we were forced to request a second truck because you sent a truck which was too small to carry all of our belongings, after your own survey of our itemsThis is something I thoroughly outlined in the previous exchangeIt is not fair to put the blame on the customer for something that was outside of our controlLogically, we would have no desire to request a second truck, and even if we did, there was no discussion from your end to double the chargesThe extra $4,was drafted without our consent. To prove this, along with the original truck, which was too small, you had to send another smaller truck because all of the items we left in our garage did not fit on the original truckIf all of the items fit on the original truck, then [redacted] would not have had to drive a second truck to our new homeThis was even after you had added extra items onto the back lift of the original truck, so the claim that all of the items could have fit on the original truck is not warranted.Again, the extra charge was taken from our account without our approval, for an error that came on your end, not to mention that our belongings were repoed during the process because one of your drivers was drunk. It is only fair to at least meet us halfway with the amount we requested, because ideally we should be due the full amount of refund Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is not a true representation of the experience I had with Texas Movers NowI have an email dated back to 6/23/17, for one example, which has a filed complaint of damaged items, which was never responded toAlso, it was sent to the email address they shared in their response, which is supposed to be the good emailThe big dispute here, however, is more about Texas Movers charging us for a second load without our consentThey came out and did an inventory of our items, and then gave us a quoteThey then sent a truck which was too small (even though we had sold several things off in between the inventory and the move), causing us to have to leave a garage full of itemsThey had to send another truck out, and then they charged us for this without our consent, which equivocated to several thousand more dollars above the original quote. They repeatedly ignored my calls and emails, and now have waited over half of a year, well beyond the days, to finally respond.I am happy to forward the email to a Revdex.com representative to show proof of the original email with the damaged items Regards, [redacted]

We have reviewed Mr [redacted] written claim and had at least phone conversations with him His claim was handled and he has been reimbursed according to the $per pound valuation policy he chose prior to his move He received the Rights and Responsibilities When you Move in Texas sheetHe is now claiming to want more money than he originally requested on the claim form We aren't really sure exactly what he wants from usThe last time we talked to him he began preaching to our secretary about this entire experience not being a democracy and that it was a conspiracy against himAgain, we aren't sure exactly what to do We have reimbursed him $to date

We understand that there was a misunderstanding between our sales staff and yourself How can we remedy the problem at this point? We suggest that you file another claim form and clearly state what is damaged We do not know what you are claiming is damaged, broken, or missingThanks

I understand your concernsWe are still willing to address your entire claim and and any issues you haveCan you please resubmit your claim and/or let me know the email address to which you submitted your claimWe would still like to resolve your problems

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] sent me the claim template on 6/8/17, and I sent the completed form back on 6/23/17 to the email address you shared was the best in a previous BBB exchange-- [redacted] @gmail.com.We also have the original quote, which was not honored, meaning Texas Movers Now added thousands of dollars to the quote without permission, and ignored our damaged item claims. Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:I am appreciative of the offer to finally cover the damages of $525, and to include an extra $300 since it has been seven months since we submitted it. However, this does not address the $4,710.30 difference between the quote and what was actually charged. The original quote was $5,165.80, and we were charged $9,876.10, without approval. You will remember that [redacted] came to our house at [redacted] in Odessa, Texas and did a survey of our belongings prior to the move. The quote came after this survey. We even sold several large pieces after the survey, including a bed, an outside swing, and a nightstand, to name a few. However, the truck that was sent was far too small to carry the load, even after we had sold off many items. This required us to leave a garage full of items behind, which is why a second truck had to be sent, which was not our fault. Then our items were repoed because one of your drivers was driving our belongings while intoxicated. Per [redacted] statement to me when our items were finally delivered, you didn't even know where our items were. Moreover, the movers that were sent showed up late, didn't have enough boxes for the office books (I personally went and retrieved the boxes), and then took an extended lunch break to which I had to call then to get them back on the job. It was very unprofessional. Also, we personally helped with the move to make up lost time, which was also not included in the original quote. I understand a second truck had to be sent, and that that costs extra, but that was not our fault, and the extra costs were not communicated or approved to us. What I would have wished was that we would have been informed of the extra charge, and I also believe that since we were innocent in the need for a second truck, that there would have been some kind of discount if it was necessary. There was a claim that the belongings could have fit on the back lift, but I have a picture of the garage full of items showing it was too much to be stacked on a back lift. What I will request is a middle ground which covers the $525.00 damaged items reimbursement, which we originally submitted on 6/23/17, plus the $300 you are offering for waiting seven months to contact us, and half of the $4,710.30 extra unapproved charge, which is $2,355.15. This equals a requested reimbursement of $3,180.15, which I believe is a reasonable amount given the facts that we were double charged without approval, that our items were repoed, and the other reasons included in this response. Regards, [redacted]

We indeed overcharged Mr*** $and have already refunded his credit cardWe have emailed him a receipt

We understand that there was a misunderstanding between our sales staff and yourself.  How can we remedy the problem at this point?  We suggest that you file another claim form and clearly state what is damaged.  We do not know what you are claiming is damaged, broken, or missing. Thanks

We have reviewed Mr. [redacted] written claim and had at least 2 phone conversations with him.  His claim was handled and he has been reimbursed according to the $0.60 per pound valuation policy he chose prior to his move.  He received the Rights and Responsibilities When you Move in...

Texas sheet. He is now claiming to want more money than he originally requested on the claim form.  We aren't really sure exactly what he wants from us. The last time we talked to him he began preaching to our secretary about this entire experience not being a democracy and that it was a conspiracy against him. Again, we aren't sure exactly what to do.  We have reimbursed him $255.00 to date.

Thank you.  Concerning Complaint ID # [redacted]; we were aware that items were left behind when the furniture was loaded in Odessa, TX.  If memory serves me correctly we were able to have the extra items picked up either the very next day or two days later and then delivered to the [redacted]...

within 3 to 4 days.  It has been quite some time since this move took place so I can't remember the exact dates. The [redacted] never filed a claim with us and it appears the Revdex.com info emailed to us was sent to the wrong email address.  [redacted]@gmail.com is definitely the best and most fail-safe address to send to.  Although the 90 time period to file a claim has passed we will certainly review without prejudice a claim form as soon as the [redacted] can submit that to us.  We would like to see a concise and written explanation of their woes, damages, and concerns.  A claim form has been enclosed.I will await a response from the Revdex.com or the [redacted].Respectfully,Texas Movers Now"Handled with Care"[redacted]

We feel that our offer to settle this matter is very fair.  We did honor our original move cost estimate and it was at your request that we used an additional truck on your move.  Again we apologize for this long delay.  We are willing to offer you an additional $100.00 for this delay and do hope that you will accept our offer.

This is something I thoroughly outlined in the previous exchange. It is not fair to put the blame on the customer for something that was outside of our control. Logically, we would have no desire to request a second truck, and even if we did, there was no discussion from your end to double the charges. The extra $4,000 was drafted without our consent. To prove this, along with the original truck, which was too small, you had to send another smaller truck because all of the items we left in our garage did not fit on the original truck. If all of the items fit on the original truck, then [redacted] would not have had to drive a second truck to our new home. I am rejecting this response because: It is not a true representation of the experience I had with Texas Movers Now. I have an email dated back to 6/23/17, for one example, which has a filed complaint of damaged items, which was never responded to. Also, it was sent to the email address they shared in their response, which is supposed to be the good email. The big dispute here, however, is more about Texas Movers charging us for a second load without our consent. They came out and did an inventory of our items, and then gave us a quote. They then sent a truck which was too small (even though we had sold several things off in between the inventory and the move), causing us to have to leave a garage full of items. They had to send another truck out, and then they charged us for this without our consent, which equivocated to several thousand more dollars above the original quote. They repeatedly ignored my calls and emails, and now have waited over half of a year, well beyond the 90 days, to finally respond.I am happy to forward the email to a Revdex.com representative to show proof of the original email with the damaged items.

We have reviewed your claim and are sorry we did not acknowledge it when it was originally sent.  We will be compensating you the $525.0 you have requested.  The charges for your move appear to be correct, however, we are offering to send an additional $300.00 to compensate you you for your inconvenience.  This is $825.00 total.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:One:This company is making up false statements to justify their payment for the loss damages. Two:Here is the phone conversation I had with [redacted] the owner of the Company.  Or at least the one I talked to on the phone, text messages email.Hello " I am looking for a mover to move us out of Midland Texas to Killeen is this something you do?[redacted]:  " Yes we have moved people all the time from Midland to Austin and the surrounding area.Me: "I have three quotes here from other movers and would like to know if you can beat or come close to their prices.[redacted]: " Send me the photos of what you have and I will see what kind of offer I can give you.Me:  "One quote was for $6,000.00 One was for $5,600.00 and one was for more. Are you fully insured with replacement value at the quoted price you will give me?
[redacted]: Yes we are fully insured and have replacement insurance coverage.Me:  Is the insurance included in this quote?[redacted]: Yes it is covered. Then they show up at my door on the day of delivery asking for more money because they added on a trailer we never discussed about, and asked my  wife if she wanted the full package insurance added on.She calls me and asks me what to do and I say according to [redacted] we are fully covered for replacement value.  Ask the hired workers what other people do about this extra cost.  My wife asks the movers and they say most people don't get it (BECAUSE THE INSURANCE COVERS ALL DAMAGES) that we now have.So they move us and break about $5,000 dollars of very exotic and expensive furniture.  (Custom made stuff).  You don't find this in Walmart of any other department store because we bought it from a gallery.  I ask what are they going to do about after the move and the secretary says to fill out a claim form.Guess where the $.60 a pound starts to come in.  Only after they refuse to pay for the damaged stuff and then they guess at the weight of what he owe and pay us only $217.00 for our losses. When you ask someone a question and the owner of the company or representative says one thing and the contract says another, who do you trust?  This company held and blackmailed our stuff unless we paid what ever they thought we needed to pay for this extra trailer they threw on.  We will never do business with them again.  The sad part of all this is the (WORKERS THEY USE) WHERE KIND, FRIENDLY, AND VERY RESPECTFUL.))  They kept apologizing for their bosses behavior and the one called Austin who handles the money part of the business.Me and my wife were so thrilled with the employed movers efforts and help we tipped them, bought them supper and breakfast and thanked them many times over. This company is run by people who hide the truth about their policy only to show up at your door on the day you scheduled  them with a different contract. The real sad thing about all of this is this.  YOU ARE GOING TO HEAR FROM THE Revdex.com AND THE COURT SYSTEMS AND THIS COMPANY ONE IRRITATING WORD THAT WE THE PUBLIC ARE SICK AND TIRED OF."YOU DID NOT HAVE TO SIGN THE CONTRACT IF WE DID NOT AGREE WITH WHAT THEY OFFERED"  Now you tell me about democracy and the right thing to do.  If this company wants to hide information from you, then that is on them.  As far as I am concern, they are playing the same game every business learns and that is the "fine print" of each thing you sign.Let them slander me for what I just wrote but I will tell you this much - it is the truth!
