The first portion of the Course is approx5hrsin the classroom where we find answers in their workbooks to a set of questions pertaining to what it takes to ride a motorcycle well Upon locating the answers to all of these questions we have a Knowledge Test on all the infothat we just went overWell, this Student failed the testThat would have been enough to council him out of the class, but the Coach decided to read him the questions and answers and let him pick the best answer, he failed the test again It was obvious that he didn’t understand, so in the students best interest, he was counseled out of the classIt is required that each student pass this phase before being allowed to move on to the next portion of the Course, the riding portion We must adhere to the Rules and Regulations set down by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation and the Texas Department of Public Safety/Motorcycle Safety Unit There is a Knowledge Test and a Skill Evaluation that you must pass in order to satisfactorily complete the Course We always go out of our way to accommodate each and every student, but when they fail the Knowledge Test twice, it time to ask yourself, should I put this Student on a MotorcycleIn all good conscience the Coach had to say no Later that same day his wife called the office and was very upset that he couldn’t complete the CourseI explained to her that he failed the Knowledge Test and that it was in his best interest and the interest of the other students in the class that he not be allowed to continueAll his wife was interested in was getting Her money back Attached you’ll find the “Motorcycle Safety Course Waiver & Indemnification Form and a Student Information Form”, that this Student signed and initialed, stating that he would be evaluated and that he must satisfactorily complete each training phase before advancing to the next levelShould a Rider Coach determine the student is a danger to his classmates, or himself, that he will not be allowed to continue the CourseI understand that this decision is for my safety and the safety of others and I will abide by the decision of the Rider CoachTo receive the Motorcycle Operator Training Course Completion Card , I must demonstrate competent motorcycle Operation; if applicable, by attaining acceptable scores on the skill evaluation and the knowledge test Failure of the knowledge test or the on-cycle evaluation or not satisfactorily completing a phase of the course is considered a failure for the entire course Refunds for persons failing or being dismissed from the course are at the discretion of the sponsor [redacted] *** [redacted] *** [redacted] ** [redacted] [redacted] Revdex.comREBUTTAL FROM CONSUMER:For some people hours is not enough to learn and grasp new conceptsespecially when it is something that they have no experience withAdding to this is the fact that English is our second language.I understand my husband was given a second chance by having the questions and multiple choice answers read to himIf he did not understand the test questions by reading them himself surely reading to him will not give a different resultI am aware that there are rules and regulations to everything that we do and I don't expect Texas Riders to put my husband on a motorcycle after he failed the test more than once.Yes, I was upsetI paid $for the class and I am only asking for a portion of itThe portion of the class that he was not allow to return and complete I believe this is a reasonable request. I was told that the business does not do refund but that was not what I asked for.Texas Riders was not very informative about how they run their businessFirst of all we were not aware that there would be two parts to the class with the first one being a knowledge testAlso, that the student will no longer be permitted to continue with class if the test wasnot successful. So I understand that it was apparent to the business that my husband did not understand the course content but yet they expect him to understand the "Motorcycle Safety Course Waiver Form and a Student Information Form" that he signed
