Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
This all started on 10/13/2016. I gave a $5,000 deposit to replace the roof on my house. The purchase order reads it will be complete no later than 01/01/2017 but they never started until a couple weeks after that. The work that has...

been done is not good at all. They damaged my garage doors. I spoke with the owner several times about all of this but nothing has been done. One of the guys who was working on the came to my house the other day explaining he has not been paid in three weeks and they fired him and the whole crew. One example on the work! They took out my round attic vents and never replaced the boards. You can see the paper and tap on the metal from inside the attic. I feel I have given more than enough time to resolve all this and I don't seem to be getting any where.     I have called on another company to give me a estimate on finishing the roof and repairing the issues. I no longer want to deal with this company!   Regards,
[redacted]

This customer was signed up on 10/13/2016 and his insurance company was sent an Xactimate supplement for their deficient scope on 11/15/2016. The adjuster was sent the paperwork a 2nd time on 12/13/2016. The customer was awarded more money for the claim at the end of December.  The project was started on the 7th of January after the holidays; and the adjuster was given the opportunity to come to the insureds home to inspect the supplemental items while we were still working. This roof had 3 layers of felt and 2 layers of shingles that we removed. The adjuster afforded coverage over the phone contingent photo documentation. The roof was delayed because of the ice and rain during the install. The customer also requested that we suspend the project for several days so that his satellite dish located on a 12/16 slope could be removed by his provider whenever he did his service visit. He was concerned about the possibility of being without television if the dish had to be recalibrated. The guys finished the roof on the 25th and the customer had no complaints about the roof to any of the workers.  There was no mention of any garage damage. This customer had multiple companies working on his home during our project and afterwards. I met with him a few days after the guys were done to inspect their work. He showed me a couple of things that were brought up by his wife that were minimal cosmetic issues. I explained we would happily these minimal issues, which is why we do final walk-throughs, and then close out the balance once you’re happy and the insurance has released your depreciation. He said that the he was in no hurry and that we could come back whenever, but then changed his mind saying that he wanted to be there whenever they did, but was not available the first few times I tried to set this up and then we had more bad weather. Yield for retainage is 5% with my company and he has basically received a standing seam Berridge roof for 5 grand.  The customer never had any leaks during or after the build, which proves that the roof had no functional issues. I paid the sub-contractors weekly draws throughout this project and have cancelled checks to prove it. We were unable to collect the insurance proceeds and final check for the work that was done and agreed to by State Farm. The customer is now trying to work with my gutter sub directly after telling me that he was going to be using another company to do his gutters. The customer is now going to have a roofer who purchased 3 boats from him come do the punch list so he can leave me unpaid and pocket the additional insurance money. [redacted] initiated this complaint during the 1st week of December because he had called me at the end of a business day and the next morning returned call was not quick enough for him.  I know that we do great work as a company and always stand by our it with written transferable warranty.  Please contact me directly with any questions or concerns on this situation.
