I was hired By [redacted] to construct a privacy fence. After haggling over the price he didn't believe was fair we agreed on a price for cheaper material to be used. After deconstructing his existing fence I informed him his yard was solid rock after digging a bit. He laughed and shrugged it...

off. During setting the posts the ones I couldn't set deep enough because of the rock. We core used existing core drilled holes 4-6" into the bedrock along with 80-100 lbs of concrete to set each post. This was more than sufficient to support the fence. I completed the fence and some material was left behind in an area behind the fence to pick up later and brad claimed I just left it there. Their was also stain on his house due to wind blowing and it happens sometimes. Al of these problems were to be remedied but from day one I was threatened with lawsuit from [redacted] I was instructed to discontinue communication with him. This is why none of the issues were fixed because he was already attempting to sue me. Which he is. I have been back to his residence AFTER 2 major storms have destroyed 100 year old healthy trees and guess what. HIS FENCE IS STILL UP AND GOING STRONG. And these were storms that destroyed brand new fences. He claimed the fence was not to code. As the homeowner it is his responsibility to obtain the necessary permits to have work done at his residence. He clearly violated this and did not obtain any permit. As well as a new patio and hot tub installation I'm not sure what else he didn't do. He tried to haggle with me on the price bc he inherited some money and realized how fast it was going. Now instead of suing for cost to fix. He's trying to get every cent back for a brand new fence. Yeah......... I was honest and willing to work with him but I've seen people like him before and knew where it was going. Steer clear of customers like this in the future.
