The Texas State Roofing Company representative inspected the roofing system and prepared an initial proposal which was considerably higher than two other bids they had received.  The client asked the sales representative to match the lower bid without providing a copy of the other two bids, and...

the representative indicated he would present to the office.  The client indicated the bid should be based on 33.41 squares of roof area, yet the Eagleview roof diagram would have the pricing based on 39 squares of material.  Upon review of the proposal, it was evident that the matched price was considerably low.  The representative contacted the client and indicated the price needed to be $12,400 and they compromised on $11,900.00.  The contract was accepted by the office. The clients have made no contact with Texas State Roofing regarding a concern that we are trying to "scam" them.  If the client does not have a reasonable level of trust in Texas State Roofing Company to complete their roof, the contract can be cancelled with no penalty.Texas State Roofing Company will honor the $10,700.00 "price match", in the event the client would still like to have Texas State Roofing Company replace the storm damaged roofing system.  Texas State Roofing has hundreds of roofing systems under contract to replace and it is very difficult to provide an installation date.  We are installing the roofs in the order in which the contracts were brought into the office.  Our production team is attempting to provide 1-2 weeks advance notice as to a schedule date.  It is most likely this roof would fall into line at the end of December or early January. The past three months after Hurricane Harvey have been a very trying time at Texas State Roofing with the thousands of phone calls and emails.  We have made every attempt provide a high level of service and communication, but most importantly maintain the quality of the premium roofing systems that we are renown for in the Coastal Bend.  Texas State Roofing only hand nails the roofs we install and discerning clients demand hand nailing and are willing to extra for the value and quality.

Texas State Roofing Company was called by Mr. [redacted] after Hurricane Harvey requesting a roof inspection for damage.  An associate went to the property on September 7, 2017 to inspect the property.  There was no evident Hurricane damage to the roofing system.  There...

was no leak reported to Texas State Roofing at this time.  No repairs were needed or completed.  The Texas State Roofing Warranty does not cover damage from a Category 4 Hurricane, but there was no wind damage to the fact the roof was correctly installed and installed by hand-nailing the shingles.   Mr. [redacted] sent a certified letter received on February 20, 2018 and received an immediate phone call from my personal cell to his listed number.  He did not answer and I left a message to call me back on my cell phone. He has never called me back on my cell.  Mr.[redacted] has called the office and personnel have been sent out twice this year. Texas State Roofing has been out to the home twice since September and has not been able to determine the source of any leak. So, I showed him the Eagleview from TWIA and found that the squares to tear off was 33.41 but, the squares to put back on was 37. I said, 'oh no, I guess I didn't realize there was a different in squares to tear off and put back on, I guess this will raise the price'. [redacted] sat staring at the prices for 30-60 seconds and then said, "No, I'm going to honor the $10,700 for you because you are good people." I was so grateful, I burst into tears.  This year has been rough on us. First in February I had a total hip replacement. Then on April 9th our 41 year old son died in a car crash. Then the hurricane hit. My husband is a disabled Veteran and 72 years old. We live on a fixed income and I was so grateful for [redacted]'s sincerity and allowing the $10,700 price. I took a long time to decide on who to do the roof and chose Texas State Roofing because I thought they would do the best job and we were very impressed with [redacted]. The contract I have that is signed by my husband, myself, and [redacted] Issacs should be honored at the agree upon price of $10,700. I just need a start date now as I have been waiting since October 14, 2017 (date the contract was signed) for my new roof. At the time of signing [redacted] said the start date would be in one month as we did have others ahead of us. It's been well over the 30 days he gave me. Regards, [redacted]
