Subject: Re: Revdex.com - You have a New Message from Revdex.com Regarding Complaint #[redacted] Texas Treasure Estate Sales [redacted] Cibolo, TX [redacted] December 19, 2014 Regarding: Revdex.com Complaint 10351217 To whom it may concern, When I agreed to conduct the estate sale at [redacted] I was told the family and their personal belongings would be gone prior to the sale. Mrs. [redacted] decided to stay and even though she had 3 weeks to take care of things prior to the sale I spent several unpaid hours helping Mrs. [redacted] move and set up a room for her personal items. I explained to her many times that a large number of people would be coming through the house and that everything she wanted to keep should be moved to that area. NOT TRUE: Ms. [redacted] knew I would be staying back to finish up on selling the house. What was going to be shipped back to Hawaii depended on what was sold at the estate sale. Ms. [redacted] did not want me to be at the house during the sale. She said "it gets too emotional for family members". She suggested I stay at a hotel or with her roommate. I declined and wanted to stay at the house. I stayed in the master bathroom on a futon with my personal belongings and in the back room where the computer and my other personal belongings were. Being at the house, I witnessed people coming into the "restricted" rooms and lifting the covers off the "not for sale signs." I personally had to escort these folks out and tell them "these items were not for sale." Interesting on the unpaid hours: I had to assist and move the carpet from the back room so as to cover the newly laid carpet in the living room. I did not want the new carpet to be tramped on with dirty shoes. I asked Ms. [redacted] to have them take their shoes off. Not a standard here in Texas as in Hawaii. I laid sheets, area rugs and long towels throughout the house. I re-covered the carpet daily during the six day time frame. Needless to say, these folks could have cared less and moved throughout the house accordingly. Yes, I did cringe when I witnessed this. I worked on picking up trash/garbage from opened boxes (they left) during the course of the three day set-up and after. I also vacuumed and mopped/swiftered everyday. They were here for six straight days. The attached pictures show the aftermath. [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] had no problem removing items that I expected to sell which is a breach of contract and created a loss of income for me. Ms. [redacted] never once mentioned to me this breach of contract, which was not even in the contract. See attached. Interesting again on the loss of income: Ms. [redacted] brought over furniture, jewelry, pictures and a dinner set from another estate sale during the time frame she was here. Attached pictures show the rubbish she left from unpacking. A. She said the owner had priced the items to high, so she was lowering them. B. It looks better for me if I have more to sell. C. I had to move my car out of the garage to accommodate her furniture so it could fit: Sofa set, desk, table and long, standing armoire. [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] claims an Ipad was stolen from under a towel she threw over some items on the kitchen counter. She also seems sure this happened on the last day of the sale after I reduced the staff. I never saw the Ipad and she did not inform me it was there or missing until 9:30 Monday night after the sale. I will not buy Mrs. [redacted] an Ipad. An IPAD was stolen from the counter. It was plugged in and covered with a thick, green towel, and a sign on top that stated "items not for sale".  Their were other items.  The IPAD was not visible. It was under a thick, Time Dictionary book. I did not notice it missing until the last day. Someone had to have quite abit of time to discover it. If Ms. [redacted] had had sufficient staff throughout the house, this would not have happened. Ms. [redacted] said it was going to be crazy on the last day because everything is marked down 25% to 30%. She re-iterated it to me again that morning. Knowing this, why would she reduce the staff? It was a chaotic, madhouse with people coming and going, tossing items from boxes in the laundry room and, once again, opening doors and lifting sheets marked, "do not enter or not for sale".  I was here and witnessed it all. It was a nightmare with no control. [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] provided some of my staff with gifts from the house that she thought they might enjoy because she wanted everyone to know she appreciated all the work we did. This information came about to Ms. [redacted] when she said I never said thank you or appreciated the work she did on the tool bench in the garage. That's not true, I said. I gave each of her three staff members gifts and thanked them for their time. Her older sister was one of the recipients, who was standing next to me. I gave her three, lovely embroidered sweaters. I looked at her and said 'well' and her reply was, "apparently it wasn't enough". At this point, Ms. [redacted]'s "foul mouth" regarding the rubbish left in the garage kicked into gear. She walked out of the garage and threw the check from the estate sale on the floor in the dining room and left. This unprofessional action shocked me. I thought, how unbelievable is this woman?!  I was so upset, I was shaking. [redacted] Mrs. [redacted] reached my sister before she could go out the door and told her she didn't want us to think she didn't appreciate all we had done. What more can I say? This was NOT the conversation her sister and I had before she left. Her sister followed out and said I was wrong about the staffing. I disagreed and she disagreed, stating this was not true. I mentioned again the folks that opened the door to the back room with the sign on the door. As stated above, this is where the computer and my other personal belongings were. She said, once again, that was not true. I was there, I stated!  She said, "no, that's not true". How in heavens could she know when no-one was around?  Ms. [redacted] had reduced the staff to herself and the cashier in the living room. I then mentioned something to the effect of filing a civil law suit. She walked away saying no. I do not know if she was referring to the civil suit or lack of security. I actually liked her sister. I was disappointed that integrity was not part of her character after all. I realize blood is thicker than water. [redacted]I stood there and thought, oh my god, these people lied, and she actually threw that check down!  It made the money feel dirty and my parents house violated. This whole experience was an eye opening, terrible but real fact of life situation. By sharing this documentation of events, I hope to help and make the public aware of Estate Sales with Proprietors like Ms. [redacted] My father said, regardless if I win or lose, even if one person is saved from this creature/experience, I will have done the right thing. This was the worse Christmas I ever had besides being alone without family. I do believe things happen for a reason. I hope that reason comes around fairly quick. Trying to keep the faith here. [redacted] I explained prior to leaving the sale that I could arrange for a charity pick up of remaining items and Mrs. [redacted] declined the offer. I do not clean homes, I conduct estate sales. The charity pick up would have reduced any "mess" Mrs. [redacted] had to deal with. Ms. [redacted] is responsible for HER trash and should clean up her own mess. Can you imagine the estate sales she has conducted with what she left here? Once again, see attached pics.  No wonder she doesn't want anyone around. [redacted] When I called Sunday to arrange a time to drop off proceeds from the sale Mrs. [redacted] was near hysteria. She was crying and sobbing that "her home had been raped and ravished." Because of her emotional state I offered to come over Monday and help her pick up and remove some trash. She accepted my offer, but then when I called Monday, she was too busy to deal with any of it. Seriously, the last person I wanted to see or deal with on Sunday or Monday was Ms. [redacted]. The damaged wall she mentioned is an exterior house board that had a bell hanging on it. When the bell sold the 3 small screws that held it were removed and that exposed a small portion of different color paint, because whoever last painted did not remove bell, only painted around it. There is no damage. The bell was NOT for SALE. It was part of the exterior wall underneath the address numbers to the house. The last thing I wanted was an unsightly wall prior to selling the house! Picture will be forthcoming. **The damaged wall in the living is another matter. Ms. [redacted] is responsible for this. See attached pic.[redacted] After the call Monday night I knew I could do nothing to please Mrs. [redacted]. She had spent every day that I was with her complaining about the carpet salesman, neighbor that took lawn mower, neighbor that blocked driveway, etc. Etc., etc., etc. [redacted] I have no idea what laws Mrs. [redacted] thinks I broke and not that it is any of her business I always pay my taxes. On what she supposedly claims.  She wanted to pay me in cash but I wanted a paper trail.  She wrote my name wrong on the check, spelling my last name "[redacted]".  You will see throughout this report she had the correct spelling of "[redacted]".  I had to prove to her bank that it was money from an estate sale she conducted.  I had the receipt/paper work with me.  They then called her for authorization on the check. [redacted] She asked that I meet her Tuesday afternoon at 1:00. When I arrived, she had a list of complaints and frankly at this point, I had heard enough. I will admit some colorful language left my lips. I left the check and my sister with the broken foot behind and went to my car. Mrs. [redacted] reached my sister before she could go out the door and told her she didn't want us to think she didn't appreciate all we had done. What more can I say? Sincerely, [redacted]
