statementwhatsoever about the table being "real oak wood".[redacted] was given her copy of the special order form which is stamped with the notice of our cancellation policy forspecial orders of products that we do not carry in our showroom or inventory. The notice reads:CANCELLATION POLICY THERE WILL BE A 30% CHARGE FOR CANCELLATION OF ANY SPECIALORDER. This policy is also posted on our sales counter in the store.This policy is not specific to our store, as many furniture stores have similar cancellation charges due to theadditional cost to carry such items which are not normally stocked in inventory. Additional costs include itemssuch as assembly in the showroom, probable reduction in gross profit margin due to the special nature of the productas compared to the inventory generally shown in the store. We also had to pay the vendor COD with no returnoption (unless the table were damaged in shipment).I am enclosing a copy of [redacted] special order form. The notice about the cancellation policy does not copy wellon our copier, but you can see that it is stamped at the bottom of the order.I am also enclosing a copy of the page from the vendor's catalog for the table [redacted] ordered, which clearlyindicates that the table has a "cherry oak finish". Again, the item is exactly as shown in the vendor's catalog. There was never anything in the catalog to lead the customer to believe the table would be real oak wood. It specifically states that the table has a cherry oak finish. I wish Ms. [redacted] would stop making ridiculous statements about the quality of the table. The table received was exactly as advertised by the vendor.The 30% cancellation policy is legal and is final.Her statements that Chris (our Manager) agrees with her position are certainly hard to believe. I have discussed her claims against Chris with him and he states her claims are untrue. He is preparing his own response to her complaints about him and I will forward to you next Monday.Thank you.
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:The receipt provided by the merchant is different from what I received. I attached the receipts that I was given by the merchant. As you can see on the receipt they provided they stamped a 30% restocking fee after the fact and sent the Revdex.com that. I was never told by Chris that there was a restocking fee on these purchases. I bought 4 pieces of furniture from the merchant and kept 3 of the pieces. The issue is that the dining set did not match the catalog description. Chris even acknowledged that when the piece was delivered. I am extremely surprised and disappointed that the merchant is being dishonest and keeping $388.00. I have tried to resolve this was the merchant.
