Mr [redacted] did return to us asking about the issue he has reported While our service writer was looking at it, Mr [redacted] became upset, slammed the hood and drove off We would be glad to look at this vehicle and if we can see anything that was repaired in the area of the power steering pump, we would absolutely pay him back for this repair But for now, Mr [redacted] has been less than civil and unwilling to give us a chance make it rightDave [redacted] TGK Automotive of Bloomington

On August 23rd, 2017, *** *** left his vehicle with us for a maintenance inspection and an oil change. After we had inspected the car, we found it was in need of a tune up and had outer tie rod ends that were loose. We created an estimate and notified Mr*** of our findings and
the cost involved with correcting the issues. I have attached a copy of the completed job ticket and will review it with you now. We would have just given a general cost for the oil change of about $35.00. We use Mitchell Management software for our invoices and look up all labor estimates through their labor guide, which is a built in feature. The labor time for the maintenance tune up, which includes replacing the spark plugs, checking the various filters, checking compression or cylinder balance, scanning the engine management computer for any current or history codes and checking the battery and its connections, is hrs. At our labor rate of $per hour that estimate would be $283.50. We use aftermarket parts suppliers for such things as spark plugs and gaskets. The parts we estimated for this tune up were spark plugs at $each and an intake plenum gasket at $9.22. We buy from these parts companies at a lower cost and sell the parts at a marked up, list price. This “list” price is usually suggested by the parts house. The labor time for the two outer tie rods is shown as hrif an alignment is to be completed separatelyThis was estimated at $121.50. The two tie rods were priced at their list prices of $and $78.68. After the front end work is completed, a front end alignment is absolutely necessary and we estimated it at $79.65. The total job was estimated to Mr*** at $on August 23rd, Our service writer obtained a verbal authorization to proceed with this work and the job was completed to the best of our ability. Mr*** picked up the vehicle when the job was done and no concerns were voiced at that time. On August 30th, 2017, I called Mr***, as part of my responsibilities, to ask how everything was going with the job we had performed and to make sure that it was completed in a satisfactory manner. I can’t recall if I actually talked with him or just left a message but if a message is left, I always say “if you have any questions or concerns about this job, please feel free to contact us at” and our phone numberWe have, to this day, never heard about any problems or concerns with Mr***’s vehicle or the job we did. If there is something specific you or he would like us to address, we are totally here to try and make it rightThank you for your time in trying to resolve this issue

I am rejecting this response because:
They didn’t even look at the side of the car with the pump they tried to point at another repaired wire on the other side as if it wasn’t their problem they said there was no wiring by the pump so I touched the wiring 2” from in front of the pump and leading under the pump to which he had no response I closed my hood with one finger exactly how a hood should be closed then it was driven out of the shop for me I do not trust them with my vehicle anymore I do not want them to repair it I want the money they cost me I also had a low pressure line from the power steering go bad on the 12JAN18 seems like that’s something maybe they should have checked cost me another $90 and another day of work
