To whom it may concern,I am responding to the complaint ID# [redacted] on September 1, 2015 that thecustomer ordered food to-go and she came to pick up around 7:28pm in theamount of $23.25. Twenty minutes later, she came back and returned one of theitem in the amount of $9.50 that bring her total bill...
down to $12.95. Myemployee then voided her credit card transection in the amount of $23.25 as shehad requested and charged her in the amount of $12.95 for the remainder items,instead. After that night, she came back the next day and said that we overcharged her, which is not true. We only charged her once for the amount of$12.95 since we already voided the first transection of $23.25 right after shecame back to returned one of the item. We tried to explain her that when creditcard transaction are made and voided, the amount that been charged and voidedwill be shown on the bank transection within 24 to 48 hours depending on thebank which we have no control over it. That transaction will show as "Hold" onthe bank transection which means that the bank put a hold on that amount untilthat amount had been cleared. In this case, her bank only deducted her moneyfrom her account for just one transection in the amount of $14.95 ($12.95+$2tip),they did not deduct both of the transactions. Therefore, it is impossible that wedouble or overcharge her as she had claimed.Please see attachment for a copy of both transactions and voided slip.Also, you are welcome to contact my merchant service and POS system company,to request a copy of this transaction, since they both have that information on filefor you to see and they can prove that we only charge her once and we only getthe money from her in the amount of $14.95 ($12.95 + $2 tip).
