complaint ID [redacted]. However, it was by e-mail (dated October 10, 2012, there was no mention of this complaint or my correspondence to them dated September 13, 2014. In the September 13 e-mail to them I offered a settlement proposal of $147 which was 2/3rds of the total fee of $220. That was based on their Technician only spending 1 hour on my computer doing "whatever" vs. the 3 hours they had said they would be in control of my computer. They gave me a number to call. I did, and left a message for which I had no response by October 15. On that date I sent Revdex.com and email @infomyRevdex.com.org which I then realized was not responding to return e-mails to that URL. What I was asking Revdex.com was whether I should call the number or wait to see if Thatechninja would contact Revdex.com. Clearly, they have not as of this correspondence from Revdex.com to me.

Review: On August 26, 2014, I was contacted by phone from area code [redacted]). Caller asked for me by name and alleged they represented the only Windows operating system technical service and that my Windows operating system was compromised and slowed by errors they were detecting. They asked me to enter some codes like [redacted] into my computer which I did. They showed me a license number and asked me to enter another name at a prompt, which I also did and took control of my computer. At that point I asked to them to exit my computer because I had a contract with the [redacted] where I bought my computer. They refused and said I had to allow them to fix errors they were seeing and it would be $220. I complained but finally relented after they told me I had no choice and that they could not let my continued use to infect other users of Windows Operating systems by going on the internet. I paid $220 for what was suppose to be 3 hours of backup and repair. It took 1 hour and they did not back up my system. In the end they relinquished control and I sent them a response that indicated I could not see any difference that that I was not happy. I immediately shut the computer down and took it to the [redacted]. They told me I had been scammed, and showed me phone messages left on the following number ###-###-#### which I had gotten from an Eric W[redacted] at NINJA. The [redacted] did a full back up of my hard drive and erased any NINJA related IP addresses, and removed all errors, which NINJa supposedly had done. I went to my bank (Onpoint CCU) and had my card cancelled. Today 9/5/2014 the $220 fee finally posted and I filed a "Card Transaction Dispute Form" and an "Affidavit of Forgery" in hopes of recovering my $220 fee. I have had no further contact with NINJA although they have sent me a thank you e-mail. They also told me [redacted] could not perform the services. They did and my computer is performing perfectly.Desired Settlement: $220 to me via certified check. However, my Bank will also request re-imbursement. I also think a penalty in the form of publicity or other sanction can be done.
