Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because, while I agree the warranty company is the one that makes the denial, their denial is based on the diagnosis of contractors like CowtownMany contractors know the correct terms to use for the warranty company to deny coverageHere, that term was that the damage was not caused by "wear and tear." Also, I dispute any allegation that I was angry or verbally abusive and that was the reason for Cowtown's not returning my callsAt the time I had tried to reach them, the warranty company had not even received their diagnosis and, thus no denial of coverage had been made Regards, [redacted]

we do indeed work with home warranty companiesWhat many people fail to recognize is that we as a company do not make the decisions on what to cover and what not to coverThe home warranty companies make the decision, we just turn in the honest and truthful diagnosis, and home warranty takes it from thereBoth diagnosis where exactly the same, the fact of the matter is that the customer does not have a vital piece of equipment installed to prevent the back flow of salt water or chlorinated water to the heaterHome warranty companies do require this check valve to be installed or they will not cover the rusted out heater.? The issue with the heater happens over time, due to backflow of chemically treated or salt water? If a check valve had been installed , backflow of the water stated above to the heater would be prevented, thus not making the cabinet rust out pre-maturely.We do not make the rules, we just turn in the factsIn addition, home warranty directs us not to speak with customers who are upset and/or verbally abusive because of a denial that is out of the contractors controlThat is the home warranty companies responsibilityAs always, we strive to maintain a good rating with our customers, after all, that is what brings them back for repeat business, and makes everyone involved happyIn the end, this review should be directed elsewhere, for we do not make the decisions on what is covered and what is not.Tell us why here
