Review: I am not able to remove my address from the distribution list of the mailer this company sends. The mailer does not use the US postal system but rather deposits the material I have supposedly subscribed to on my driveway.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to remove my address from this or any other subscription/list and stop depositing the mailer at my residence.

Review: I have tried to cancel my subscription over 10 times. You are unable to cancel the subscription via written correspondence of any type. No one answers the phone in order to cancel service. I have been on hold for a combined total of over two hours. When prompted to leave a message for billing service, the recording does not even allow you to leave a message and you are placed on hold again. I am not able to cancel a service I no longer want or need.Desired Settlement: I paid for one billing cycle and am unwilling to pay for a renewed subscription. I want my subscription to be stopped and I do not expect to pay for any more as I have tried to cancel multiple times without success.

Review: I signed up for a $52 subscription for 52 weeks (Thurs, Friday + Sunday editions) on a [redacted] for the [redacted] starting on August 19, 2014. The subscription ran out on March 15, 2015 because I was upgraded to a premium service with out my consent and now have an outstanding balance of $54.04 on my account. I have called the Advocate and complained that this is a classic 'bait and switch' and they countered that the details were contained in the fine print on my bill. It states "every subscription may contain up to five premium issues..... your account will be charged an additional fee up to $4.00 (per premium issue)". I signed up for a prepaid 52 week subscription and was upgraded to a service that is more than double the original terms because the Advocate feels they can drop papers in my driveway that I have not ordered and charge $4.00 a piece for them. Numerous complaints have been ignored while my bill continues to climb. - Please Help.Desired Settlement: Please honor the terms of our initial agreement of 52 weeks of the advocate at $52 ending on 8/19/2015 and then cancel my subscription. Please reverse the current $54.04 charge to my account and any additional charges for premium issues. Please do not deliver any premium issued to my house.

Review: I have been calling ([redacted]) and asking The Advocate & [redacted] to stop delivering their free "YES! Your Essential Shopper" for a couple of months and still, every Monday morning it is laying in my driveway and I have to pick it up and recycle it. I made my 5th call today and the gentlemen who answered it remembers me from a previous call and said he passed on my info and does not understand why the paper continues to be delivered. Neither do I. This is not only a litter problem but a safety issue, in that, if we stop the mail to go on vacation over the summer, but they keep delivering this unwanted paper, as it piles up in the driveway it will signal to thieves that we are not home and perhaps make us a target. It should not be this hard to stop it. I never subscribed to it in the first place, it just started showing up.Desired Settlement: Stop delivering this unwanted paper.

Review: In early October we canceled delivery of the [redacted] newspaper, which is owned by The Advocate. We cancelled by calling Subscription Services. ###-###-####. Even though the account was closed, we continued to receive the paper. We called several times after and were assured delivery would stop, but it continued. We then called the Office of the President of The Advocate ###-###-####, and spoke with his assistant, Doreen M[redacted], who said she would ensure stoppage. We also followed up with a written letter to her superior, Mr. Henry B. H[redacted]. Delivery stopped for two weeks and then restarted today, 11/13. We sent a fax to Mr. H[redacted] and tried to contact him, but were unsucessful. We have placed a Merchant Credit Hold on our credit card, so they cannot charge it. Today we again called Subscriber Services (based in the Philippines) and were assured that delivery would cease. So far, after writing letters, calling over 5 times, and sending faxes, our request to cancel delivery has failed. Even though the account appears to be closed, the paper is still being delivered, and we want it stopped.Desired Settlement: Please contact The Advocate and have the paper delivery stopped once and for all. Even though they will tell you they have stopped the paper, you need to speak with an Executive Manager or directly to Mr. Henry H[redacted], to ensure that this problem is addressed. Hopefully, if he hears from the Revdex.com, he will make certain that delivery will cease.

Thank you.
