Update: after my initial review I was contacted by the company - they didn't like seeing negative comments. That's a good thing, as far as it goes, and after a week or so of talking we agreed that if I would buy the necessary parts to complete the last fix they would send a sub-contractor out to do the work. I also agreed to update my review once the work was done. Win-win, right? So I bought the parts - but several months and numerous emails and phone calls later, it still isn't done. So here's my update - I'm deeply disappointed at the lack of follow-through. Do NOT sign off until EVERYTHING is complete.
People were very friendlyThat said the lending process is very preditoryI do take responsibility for the disaster that has been my experience with their preferred lender I'll start by saying I was going to get my own loan through my bankI was going to apply for a home equity line of credit for the tax advantagesInstead the gentleman that handled the sales and financing at the time told me it was no problem for them to attach the loan to the house in such away that I will get the interest deduction I filled out the paperwork and received a call the next day for them to start work I asked them if I had been approved, the man said yes and they were ready to workWell the truth was the approval hadn't gone through just yet but it eventually did So a year goes by with me making payments, and tax time roles aroundI hadn't received my interest details from their preferred lenderI call and am told the is an unsecured loan sorry about your luckI couldn't believe itThat man stood in my kitchen in front of whiteness and lied right to my face as to I'm sure make a little from the TERRIBLE preditory lender that they useAgain I take responsibility for being stupid, and allowing my self to get screwedI will add the siding looks terrible after three years of settling, and don't pay any attention to lies about it won't grow mildew and mold as easy, good thing I chose green
