First notice of intent to move was lost.2nd was hand delivered and emailed then they said I owed them for March, April,& July for which I had receitsI hand delivered a notice of intent to move around June 5th when I paid my rent. I was provided a copy of my intent and left. As July approached I received a bill for July's rent and was told I had failed to pay prior months' rent which included March and April and July. I did owe for July but had gave my notice to move and the person ([redacted]) working stated they had no recored of the notice being brought in June. My mom then asked [redacted] on July 2, 2014, to email her a notice of intent to move, which he did. I filled it out, scanned it in and emailed it back the same date and to date we have never received a reply. I decided to go into the property managers office where [redacted] was working. I asked to speak to the property manager and [redacted] stated she was not in but would be in before noon. He said her name was [redacted] I think. After waiting for a call from her and never receiving it, my mom called and spoke to [redacted]. [redacted] said the property manager had not been in. My mom asked for a number to contact someone in charge other than [redacted] and he refused to give my mom any other contact numbers. He also told my mom he had not emailed her from the email address my mom gave him. My mom explained no one from the Apartment Group has ever contacted us back with regards to the months they claim I owe even though I've taken in the receipts from money orders showing I have paid. When my mom gave [redacted] the email address "[redacted]" [redacted] said that isnt their address. My mom told him his name is on the email and how unprofessional is it of him to send an email from an address he doesn't check or doesnt belong to him. I'm being forced to pay another months rent after I had put in one notice, for which they claim they've lost. They're trying to say I didn't pay rent for months for which I have proof of payment. This is the most unprofessional company when it comes to trying to contact the manager and when it comes to their billing practices.Desired SettlementI want my security deposit back and I want to get out of the apartment group as soon as possible.Business Response [redacted] is the leaseholder at [redacted] Apartments for [redacted] NC XXXXX. [redacted] Apartments, formerly known as [redacted] and [redacted] is now owned and managed by SYNCO Properties. The beginning date of lease term on the current lease is 1/1/2014 and ending date of lease term is 6/30/2014. According to the executed lease agreement, a 60-day written notice to vacate is required if a leaseholder plans to vacate the premises. If the executed lease agreement should automatically renew on a month-to-month basis, a 30-day written notice is required. To date, written notice to vacate has not been received for [redacted] in the office located at 8H Merry Lane, via email at [redacted]@syncoproperties.com, or via fax XXX-XXX-XXXX. Any balance due and/or damages (other than normal wear and tear) to the dwelling unit will be deducted from the security deposit as stated in the executed lease agreement.Consumer Response I have provided a notice on June 1 and one July 1. [redacted] is the person at the office at my apartmenbt complex that I gave my intent to vacate to. According to [redacted], he is not authorized to sign for the notice to vacate. He took my notice and I have called 3 more times for [redacted] ([redacted]) to call me and again, not a word from [redacted] ([redacted], however you spell her name). I will not stay in this apartment past the last day of July. This company has made this process impossible. I can be contacted at XXX-XXX-XXXX, and yes I do realize everyone has my number but this company has lied and avoided contacting me so the only way to make myself clear that I am not renting an apartment from them any longer and would like someone to call me is by doing it here. This is beyond rediculous and unprofessional and I hope everyone reading this will think twice before they do business with this company. My lease is on a month to month basis, I have turned in 2 notices that no one will sign off on to date, to resolve this I just want out of this unit.Business Response The leaseholder was notified that the Notice of Intention to Vacate had been received and accepted. Leaseholder vacated apartment. Security deposit was refunded in full to Leaseholder.
