Im not sure where the mwas on this being a non-smoking building, but this is building that permits smoking in the apartmentsIt was not our intent to deceive you in any way and we are very sorry for the misunderstanding
I can see
from our maintenance history that we responded to your requests of 9/29/on 10/1/to install a new toilet paper holder, light fixture and outlet coversThese issues should have been dealt with prior to your moving into the apartment
You reported seeing roaches on 8/26/and we had an exterminator there to treat your apartment on 8/28/You again reported seeing roaches on 9/29/and we had an exterminator treat on 10/1/SInce that time, we have not received any reports of further activityAs a proactive measure, we exterminated the entire building on 3/17/and the exterminators reported that they didnt see signs of activity in your apartment
You reported on 9/29/that your door knob was not working and that was repaired on 10/1/
Wherein we would like everything to well without there being any required maintenance issues in our apartment, this is completely unrealisticWe expect that you will require maintenace and our goal is to be responsive in dealing with those issues as they ariseTo date it appears that we have been very prompt in responding to your requests
I reviewed the utilities that have been billed to your apartmentThe actual amounts billed to your apartment have averaged $per month for the eight months billedThis can seem like a large amount during the winter months, but will be much less during the summer months when the heat is off
Again, I am very sorry that we have failed to meet your expectationsIf you would like to terminate your lease and move, we would be happy to work with you on reaching a mutual termination agreementI completly understand that you desire to live in a no smoking enviromentIf you would like to consider one of our non-smoking buildings, we would certainly work with you to find an apartment that would be what you are looking for

I most certainly requested an inspection during regular business hours -- usually calling The Apartment Shop between the hours of 9am and 2pmIt is ludicrous that they would lie and claim that none of my efforts to
contact them, apparently, were made during regular business hoursWhen does The Apartment Shop claim these contact efforts were made, and what times do they claim that I wanted to meet them?
I did not call on the roaches because I did not want to be the sort of tenant that is always complaining, and all my neighbors said their apartments were infested to and to note even botherObviously given the masses of people I saw on the local news protesting that nothing was done given their roach situation, I almost wanted to laugh that the response The Apartment Shop is giving me is that all roach situations are immediately solvedDid the Apartment Shop even read that my issue with them is not roaches, however?
My issue is with The Apartment Shop refusing to honor my contact attempts to check out of my apartment to ensure my deposit would be refunded in full, and I made it very clear to them that I was willing to meet at any time -- before the holidays, after the holidays, any of their hours -- when I spoke to them on the phoneThey just could not set a date and give me any sort of a callback at allZeroIt was a giant waste of my time to have to call this many times from work, as I work for a high intensity private equity firm and while The Apartment Shop is clearly on a different time zone, it's just terrible of them to be so disorganized and to expect me to just keep calling them -- all for nought in the end! I followed THEIR instructions with leaving a post it note and keys for a callback after my fourth call and I still never got one! Then I followed up with two more calls -- nothingfor a total of six efforts to check out of my apartment during business hours, none was granted
I was a model tenant who did not want to waste their time complaining about all sorts of terrible conditions in the unitI merely expect my full deposit back since they could not honor the terms of the lease as concerns checking out TOGETHER and since I find this charge concerning the stove captious and gratuitousThe stove was cleanedIt certainly does not take two hours to clean a stove as they so claimA can off Easy Off Oven Cleaner and some elbow grease and I'm good to go in minutesI cannot believe they are outright being so deceptive on this
I await their response on whether or not my contact efforts were made and were concerning a meeting during Business Hours, as they most certainly were (times)

The Apartment Shop has a section in the Lease Agreement that allows the tenant to break the lease without penalty after two successful exterminations with a letter stating where they are still seeing and having issues
I have been in communicaton with *** and *** since their initial
commication with Revdex.com on October Since receiving their notice to vacate today, October 18, 2016, The Apartment Shop agrees to mutual release *** and *** from their lease agreement as of October 31,

Any tenant who requests a move out inspection is granted one as long as it is during regular business hours.
Also, tenant resided in the unit since Dec 2013 and not once, were roaches reported as being in the unit. If a request or call is made, a professional exterminator would have been brought out to resolve the issue, immediately!
Tenant was initially charged to clean his refrigerator and also his stove. The refrigerator charge was reversed and new check mailed out because we did not need to spend any man hours cleaning it. The stove did need cleaning and 2 hours were spent cleaning it by our cleaners which is why the charge continues to stand.
