up without any tools.  The switch that the knob attaches too was separated from its bracket.  At first I was going to going to try and repair it and I decided to order the part it mounted to.  That was the big expense!  It would NOT have been used if I didn’t need it.  I wanted to have it if I needed it.  The $80 dollars the Consumer was billed for was for the service call.  We will not pursue collection for this amount.

The service tech was called out to Ms. H[redacted]'s residence and was told the refrigerator had a buzzing noise and the doors did not work.  When the tech arrived, he found there was no buzzing noise and the doors worked fine.  The service call was $80, but...

Ms. h[redacted] never paid the bill and The Appliance Store has waived the fees. Some 4 months later, Ms. H[redacted] again called and said there was a loud noise coming from the refrigerator.  The tech came out to find the drain had iced up.  He unclogged the drain and installed a drain kit.  The Appliance Company again waived the $80 service fee and charged only the repair cost and installing the drain kit. Approximately one month later the refrigerator's control board failed and the cost to repair was more than the cost for the fridge.  It was unfortunate that this happened just one month after the previous repair, but the 2 problems were not related.
 The Appliance Store

Appliance store charged us hundreds of dollars for a visit that did not fix the unit. We told them the unit was under warranty. Applicance store said the problem was probably not a warranty issue. They did not know what the problem was. In meantime, we paid them. Then they came back and discovered problem was a warranty issue. They will not return our funds. They have not fixed the unit. Had to call Viking. Learned the Appliance Store lied to Viking about the visit and what was done, apparently so they did not have to pay us back. Viking is now sending out a technician from another company who knows how to fix unit. Appliance Store apparently cannot even fix the unit. Horrible Customer service from the Appliance Store. Lies to us and Viking. Still has over $350 of our money and will not give it back. They are the worst example of a service company and should have their license removed.

Review: The Appliance Store has made at least 3 visits to repair my refrigerator. On 2/20/15, they charged $80 when the bill said "normal operation at this time." (see bill 7[redacted]5) On 6/25/15 they charged $120. (see bill 71840) On 7/8/15, they charged $609.60. (see bill 71927) This came to a total of $809.60 for labor and parts. After all this work and expense, the refrigerator is still not fixed. It should have been fixed by now, and the total bill of $809.60 is close to the price of replacing the same refrigerator from Costco Wholesale, which leads me to believe they are taking advantage of me. Their excuse is always that they have to get another part when contacted about this issue and asked why it is still not fixed yet. They have basically billed me for work that was never completed.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for work that has never been completed. Costco Wholesale will replace the refrigerator in the same size for not much more money ($1200 total) than the bill from The Appliance Store, so it is ridiculous that they would charge $809.60 and never have fixed our refrigerator.

Review: We called The Appliance Store Monday, June 30th, for a repair- person to come. At that time we explained what the problem was with our stove. We told them a knob had come off the control panel.

Your repair- person arrived WITHOUT any tools and asked me if I had pliers he could use.

He then stated that he would need to order a part and told me that it would cost approx. $250. The next day I spoke with your office and was told it would cost more than $600. I did not want to go ahead with the repair.

We called another repair service. The repairman came that afternoon, WITH tools and repaired the stove . His total bill came to $118. !!!!!

I hope you understand that under these circumstances I cannot pay your bill of $80. -No service was rendered.

In my previous letter I asked you to void this bill of $80. If this is not possible we will gladly settle this in small claims court.Desired Settlement: To void this bill of $80 for no service was rendered.
