Review: My son, [redacted], was hospitalized April, 2014, where he had to withdraw from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. They are repeatedly billing him for the entire Spring semester even though he only attended two (2) WEEKS of the Spring, 2014 semester. He went into a 90 day Drug And Alcohol Inpatient Treatment facility for 90 days and is still unable to attend college as he is in recovery. I have repeatedly asked the Art Institute to WAIVE this bill for an entire Spring, 2014 quarter, since they have received AMPLE AMOUNTS OF $$ FROM BOTH MYSELF AND MY PARENT PLUS LOANS AND [redacted]'S STUDENT LOAN. I have emailed with Ann C[redacted], Ashley F[redacted], and Adriane M[redacted]. They have ALL IGNORED ME! This is NOT the way a business, yet alone a private college that is supposed to help young adults should behave.Desired Settlement: I would like the Spring, 2014 bill from the Art Institute of Philadelphia WAIVED so as not to ruin my son, [redacted]' credit. I would like it in writing also as they have proved they will not communicate with this reasonable request. 2 weeks of school does NOT equal getting paid for a full quarter that he did not attend. He did not get the service they are billing for.

Review: This company was contacted on several times regarding the said student in question " [redacted]" the mother contacted the school directly getting confirmation from the Business office, Registration and Direct contact of student service representative that had been assigned to [redacted] student life-

The phone calls began to confirm that [redacted] could drop classes since it was his first week. Face to face he was told repeatedly that he could not drop classes with out jeopardizing his enrollment status and availability of the much needed classes ( that aren't always on the schedule ) [redacted] circumstances where that he needed to drop classes because his class schedule that he initially requested was not honored. [redacted] had a class first thing in the morning and then an evening class. This made it difficult to pursue employment that was needed. The school pressured [redacted] and threatened him that if he dropped out the first week he would still be held responsible for any charges. Again, the mother [redacted] ( mother of said student ) directly received verbal confirmation from all the staff involved that if [redacted] would show up he could withdrawal from the current classes with out penalty. The following day when [redacted] went to the registration office he filed and signed needed documentation to withdrawal from his current classes. The person's that were available the night before were not in the office the following day. [redacted] ( mother ) Called the school several times leaving messages for the financial department, student services, registration and etc. The mother was attempting to get the letter/notice/document providing the proof of conversation with said staff members. When failure to receive a return call , student proceeded to office , and was turned away several times. The staff in the office stated each time the person he needed to direct his concern to was not available. The hours of this office staff was not made available nor , the name or contact information. The mother also has made several attempts in person to be directed to the appropriate parties. No one of the staff members have an understanding to cooperation , guidance or assistance in resolving any matters. This school has no processes implemented to aid students. The turn around with employees is extremely high. You could talk to one person one week and the following week that person is no longer with the company/school. No one new has been assigned to the issues at hand.

We have spoken to the financial department and we were advised in person to disregard said statement(s) that were received- Billing statements- Per the staff they stated that the bill is not accurate and we should wait for the adjustment. We clearly replied there should be no bill or statement or adjustment. This bill was made in error. Again the gentleman couldn't resolve the issue because he had no skills or tools to aid us in this issue. Nor was any advise as to how to handle this provided. The staff just kept repeating to just ignore the notice. Every time we tried to address it , we were advise to just ignore it. We had no option to ignore it. We were getting billed for services not provided.

How is this company/School in business ? How can they perform just assuming that every one will be okay with their inability to focus and deliver !Desired Settlement: The Billing Adjustment needs to be made to zero. [redacted] provided the required documentation to withdrawal from class in a timely manner. We were advised that we would not receive a bill or statement upon our discharge from the courses. We request to honor your staffs assurance.
