Thank you for the opportunity to address this complaintThis tenant, [redacted] , did not like the way this ended because I gave him/her a walk-thru inspection after it was almost dark, and told him/her that the apartment looked pretty good However, the next day, when I started to actually do my final notes and move-out cleaning, I discovered that he/she had used some sort of smoke-making substance inside the apartment, most likely marijuanaMr [redacted] , ***'s Grandfather, who was the benefactor of the deposit, was notified by me and made aware of the smoking situation, as was ***I was repeatedly cursed at by [redacted] and hung up on when I told him/her about the no-deposit refund decision/situationLater, I was contacted by an attorney, Mr [redacted] ***, who had been retained by the Grandfather of ***It was then that I mailed a letter with an exact detailed accounting of what work was performed to make the apartment ready to be shown to any future tenantsYou can read my letter in the two attachmentsIn addition to the work, I had to then threaten to press charges against [redacted] for harassment on [redacted] If you would like copies of the slanderous remarks he/she made about me, I can send copies of his/her postsI also enlisted the help of the fraud department at [redacted] to get him/her to stopI'm sorry to say, but no amount of complaining by [redacted] is going to get his/her Grandfather's depositIt would not even be ***'s anywayI had agreed any money would go to [redacted] when I spoke with him before [redacted] moved inThank you for letting me respond to this complaint
