Business Response to a Complaint Complaint ID#: [redacted] Company Name: Splash Plumbing & Heating Company Contact: Mark F Company Phone: [redacted] Company Email: [redacted] Person Who Sent the Complaint: [redacted] Staff... Member: [redacted] Response: Splash Plumbing & Heating sent a proposal to [redacted] on 3/24/2016 and the job was completed on 6/23/2016. We stated in the proposal "automatic water feed does not include electric work" (we recommended a license electrician to complete that work). The electrician, that was hired by [redacted] wired the automatic water feed and then [redacted] stated the water feed was not working properly. We sent a technician to diagnosis the automatic water feed and found it was not working properly, so a new unit was ordered because we thought the first unit was defective. The second unit was installed on 9/17/2016 and the unit was hooked up and when tested the water feed had the same issue as the first one. With more trouble shooting, our technician traced the wiring and noticed the automatic water feed was not wired correctly. [redacted] hired his own electrician to complete all electric work. We pointed out that the problem was not the unit, the electric was wired wrong and then he decided he did not want the unit, so it was removed on 9/24/2016. Both parties agreed to reimbursement amount of $300 for the unit. The check was issued and mailed on 9/30/2016. On 10/4/2016 we received another email from [redacted] stating check was received but he was not satisfied with the amount refunded so he would be filing for the remainder plus in small claims court. Our original quote was $650 and he is now asking us for $800. He decided that $300 was not sufficient and threatened us with small claims court. As a courtesy, we decided to reimburse the full of amount that was quoted to him, which was another $350. This check was issued and mailed on 10/5/2016.

I am rejecting this response because: At no point what so ever did you say that the electric work was done improperlyThe electric work was done by licensed electricians and it was done correctlyWhat was in incorrect was the partIt was a different voltage than the boiler and therefor could not be hooked up properly no matter who did itThis was due to lack of knowledge and forethought by Splash PlumbingI was not satisfied with the original refund only because Splash did not know what they were doing when the hooked up the auto filler and decided I wanted to be refund for all their work and the partPlease do not act like the refund was a courtesy, no business gives an extra $300 as a courtesyYou continue to blame me for this and refuse to accept responsibilityI was satisfied with the second refund, but now I have wasted $on electric work that is useless to meMaybe I'll decide to take you to court after allLet a Judge decide who's fault this is
