I am writing this review to express my experience with The Auto Connection in Norfolk VaCustom service sale manager explain the rate saver program but did not have us sign paperwork so when I made a *** payment my interest did not go downI also called find out when next payment would be and made payment which all went to interestI was upset about this, when explain to me that the system is not setup apply
interest with paymentTheir billing system is very outdated and setup to confuse you
Will not recommend anyone to buy from Auto Connection

I still do not feel the matter was handled with customer concern or care. I am seeking other possibilities of action on this. I have requested a copy of my contract and the company would not provide it to me. I have continued to make mu payments but am seeking legal council.

I SPOKE WITH MS. [redacted] RECENTLY AND THE FINAL CONCLUSION IS THAT IS IF SHE CAN GET $3000 TOGETHER SOMEHOW WE FEEL WE CAN PRESENT THAT AMOUNT TO THE COMPANY AND I FEEL THEY WILL HEAVILY CONSIDER FORGIVING THE REST OF THE LOAN. MOST PEOPLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE OWE MORE THAN THEIR CAR IS WORTH WHETHER THE CAR IS RUNNING PROPERLY OR NOT. FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS DO NOT JUST LET CUSTOMERS OUT OF THEIR LOANS AND FORGIVE THE REST OF THE BALANCE. ALL OF OUR LOANS ARE PLEDGED TO A LINE OF CREDIT AS COLLATEROL. IT IS UP TO THE CUSTOMER TO KEEP THE CAR RUNNING UNTIL THE LOAN IS PAID OFF OR ABLE TO TRADE IT IN TO PAY THE REST OF THE LOAN OFF. WE FEEL WE ARE AT AN IMPASS. THE $3000 POSSIBLE SETTLEMENT AMOUNT STANDS AS THE BEST WE CAN DO. [redacted]

REPAIR LOANS AT 0% INTEREST RATE AT THE DEALERSHIP TO
OUR CUSTOMERS ON WORK WE DO. THE CUSTOMER SHOULD CONSIDER USING US FOR REPAIR
WORK.
WE HAVE A COMPUTER BOX IN THE CAR WHEREBY WE CAN HAVE THE
CAR NOT START (WITH PROPER WARNING) IF THE CUSTOMER DOES NOT PAY. PER OUR NOTES
SHE IS BRINGING THE CAR IN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. MOST TIMES IT IS NOT THE BOX; USUALLY

DEALERSHIP THAT MAY BE INTERSTED IN THE DEAL CALL AND MAKE US AN OFFER TO

The finance company and dealership are still offering any settlement on this issue. The car has a coolant leak and an oil leak. Their very own service department has told me this car is not worth putting any money into fixing the oil leak. I just had a water pump and entire coolant system replaced in the last 6 months and it's leaking AGAIN. They want me to make payments and fix a 2001 piece of crap. If the car was worth it I would but it is not. I have statements from other mechanics who warn me not to put money into this car. I have had repair issues for over six months now. Any other dealership with an ounce of integrity would allow a person who pays regularly on their loan to trade a car in. Every place I've been to has told me that can't finance me out of this deal. Only 40% of my regular payment is going to the principal balance of this loan. The rest is interest. They have already made $13,000 out of me on this car. I'm a single mother working too jobs with NO PUBLIC ASSISTANCE. I have an MBA. I'm not stupid. I was desperate for a car due to getting a divorce and no help from ex at the time. Since then I've built my finances up to sustain myself. I will not be taking advantage of any further by this company. I'll go to the news if I have to. It is immoral and down right shady what they are doing to my family.

The finance company has told me repeatedly I am good paying customer which I am. If I am a good paying customer then treat me like one. The car has too many repair issues beyond it's value. I have the right as a paying customer to desire a new and better running vehicle. This is the common practice most consumers. Therefore, I want a new vehicle or the price of the loan reduced so I can get out of the loan. I have paid $13,000 on this 2001 vehicle that now is worth $1500.

Sadly, the worst car buying experience ever.

The customer service is horrible. I walked in and the receptionist just barely acknowledges your presence. In fact, the day I walked in the Owner was sitting in an unused desk. I would have thought from his friendly commercials he would have been friendly to see customers and would have at least acknowledged the guest that were directly in his sight. But I found this was indicative of their overall poor service. The sales people of course are eager to help until they find out you are already dealing with someone. So the next time you enter they walk past you.

I came in and met Jermaine with a down payment prepared to purchase that day. I picked three cars to test drive, 2 were on the lot but had not gone through Service. Not wanting to just buy anything they had me wait 2 weeks before I was able to test drive the second car and the third one never made it to service. I was given a lot of in my opinion poor excuses to why I had to wait so long for them to get a car ready to test drive. Again I was not car looking. My car was breaking down and I was forced to act quickly. I was car buying.

When I voiced my concerns to Ricky and Surge "managers I might add" they were not the least bit helpful or concerned at all. I had to call and call and call to find out any progress on the two cars I was interested in purchasing. Several times I left messages that were never returned.

I ended up purchasing a vehicle somewhere else. I don't know if I signed anything that says I can't share my experience or not but this Review is not to disparage Auto Connection.

I did not feel I was a priority even with a down payment in hand. But honestly, I think because they offer a large second chance service maybe they think they can deal with people in an unprofessional manner and it's OK, cause we need them more than they need us. This sometimes happen when small business start to get larger.

Maybe this will get their attention and have them take a second look at their customer service and overall business practices.

This was the hardest time I have ever experience to purchase a car.
