Dear Revdex.com Dispute Resolution Department,In the interst of expediency, I am respontding to this complaint ID *** with the signed AS IS buyer's order dated June 27th, the cleared check dated June 30th, and a repair order dated the day of sale, done at the request of the customer regarding a sway
bar linkThe complaint regarding the check engine light, if it was indeed literally ten miles down the road would have resulted in bringing the car back & Canceling the check until the issue was resolvedForward to NovemberThe situation regarding the two vehicles being traded in on a Silverado, verses a cash outright price on an Trailblazer, with no trades appraised or mentioned, under a completely different scenario, could be written off as simply not understanding how a vehicle purchase worksThe trolling, reviews by individuals from out of state, and attempted social media bullying on Facebook & Google, will behandled by those companies & our law firm accordinglyWe take our reputation, customers, and business seriously, attacks, slander, & defamation will be addressed and handled as recommended by professionals in that area of concern. We will no be doing further business with Ms***, or her brotherAfter accusing us of a lack of integrity, transparency, & Ethics, I'm sure she would be more comfortable purchasing her vehicles in the future elsewhereIf you need further documentation regarding this complaint, please don't hesitate to reach out, I have the informatio at your disposal.Regards,Marsha AntonioThe Auto Link***

I am rejecting this response because:
I was never encouraged to take it to a technician, I was never informed the engine is not the original, I never spoke to the ownerHe refused to return my call or even come to the phoneIf they offered to install at new engine at their cost, where is the $charge coming from?

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

This letter is in response to complaint #1[redacted]         There WAS an issue with this vehicle after our customer took delivery, and we did have it in our shop for a possibly parallel, although previously undiagnosed issue, involving...

the Explorer. We did NOT sell them a vehicle that we "knew" had issues, that simply isn't how we operate. The repairs we did for the [redacted] were paid for by us, not a warranty company, and a loaner car was provided to them, at no charge, while we had the Explorer in the service department. We purposely did NOT file a warranty claim using the extended warranty they purchased,(and not under duress, as was implied, the option was theirs, yes or no,for the additional coverage) because it was something they noticed soon after they took delivery. Their warranty has no claims against it, and their warranty does cover the transmission, engine, and other related components. The buyers order signed included the AS IS clause, initialed by the buyer, which was disregarded by us, with the mission to make sure the situation was made right. We haven't heard back from the Ulrich's since, and honestly, I don't know what more could have been done. We picked the vehicle up in Farmington, while delivering a loaner vehicle, and delivered it back to them in Morton, also picking up the loaner vehicle, to make the obvious inconvenience as minimal as possible, and apologized profusely for the situation.                                                                                                                                Regards,                                                                                                                                [redacted]                                                                                                                                The Autolink

Dear Revdex.com,          We have read the complaint, and our response is as follows, see also attached file for the social media referencing. We have a customer, whom by his wife's admission, is extremely versed regarding vehicles, who drove the vehicle, had it inspected, or...

inspected it himself, & readily initialed the AS IS & declined extended warranty areas on the buyers order. We were insistent that the Mosers understood the vehicle was sold AS IS, because their lender refused any additions like a warranty or gap insurance (which wasn't necessary as the truck booked out so well) on the loan, & the mileage was at 160,000. We did remind them the vehicle was sold as is, yet offered to tow the vehicle at our expense to our Bartonville location, this after being bashed on social media, to have the master certified diesel technician on our roster, who has done work for us for five years, dig into the issue. Not knowing what exactly the issue was, as the situation was fluid, offering to fix the diesel for the cost of parts (our cost, not retail) on the vehicle, seemed a fair way to start. Other plans that were in motion regarding absorbing the costs of the parts into a payment plan/rearranging financing, among other ideas we were mulling over, came to a halt, as the offer of help was very publicly rebuffed, as admitted in the complaint. The offer has been rescinded, the social media issues will be handled by the appropriate parties, & in the customer's own words our offers, made in good faith, attempting to help with no obligation legally, were refused. If any further documentation is required, please advise.                                                                                                                             Regards,                                                                                                                             The Auto Link

To whom it may concern,    We sold a 1998 Chevy Express van with an odometer reading of 167,870, on 02-01-17 to a [redacted] The buyer's order was signed and initialed AS IS. The out the door price was shown as $3800.00 all inclusive. There was no representation that this van was in...

any way, shape, or form anything other than an old work van that had been a trade in. When he started having problems on this AS IS van, we did offer to help replace the engine for $1200.00, this is absolutely fact. What isn't mentioned is that we were buying the engine at our cost, and installing it for FREE. Yes, no charge for the labor, and the engine at our cost, on a 1998, sold AS IS van. Also, on vehicles over 10 yrs old, no odometer is required as is shown on Mr. Tyler's title, they are exempt according to state license and titling regulations, which eliminates the odometer fraud accusation. The owner talked to this gentleman personally, and made the offer to help, at significant cost to us, and the salesman reiterated the offer. I think we took more responsibility and went above and beyond, to help out on a twenty year old vehicle that again, was sold AS IS. Also, on any of our older, cash only, AS IS vehicles, we encourage people, if they'd like, to the the vehicle to a technician, or bring a technician with them, if they are that old, obviously they aren't going to be perfect. If an engine goes out seven weeks after a purchase, I'm going to hazard a guess that not a lot of establishments would have offered the help that we did. If you need a copy of the buyers order, or the title application for verification, please advise.                                                                                                                                                            Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                             [redacted]                                                                                                                                                             General Manager

Ms. [redacted] is in a loaner vehicle, & we're replacing the engine completely at our cost, above & beyond what the 15 day warranty expresses as law. I think there was some sort of breakdown in communication/understanding, as we would NEVER not help someone in this situation, not refund their...

money, put them in a different vehicle, or replace the damaged part. She is financed with us, her loan is with us, & this will be taken care of. We're sorry it happened at all, the previous owner was a technician himself & his son works for us, & has for going on ten years. If there are any other questions, please let me know.                                                                                                       Regards,                                                                                                        [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I'm tired of fighting this issue and have moved on. I asked my brother in law to remove his review since it's clearly not doing any good. He wrote it to try to get the dealer's attention so we could work on fixing the problem but they don't care. I'm done with this.
