The transmission on my Saturn Vue started sounding really badI had read several articles regarding my symptoms and the various issues/prices associated with my vehicleWhile I am comfortable with working on my own vehicle, I was not qualified to perform this work, so I called The Automatic Transmission Clinic In the beginning I didn't trust this business because I did not know themI conveyed this apprehension to the woman who answered my callI requested all the parts that were to be replaced, returned to me and the parts that couldn't be returned to have pictures taken that showed serial numbers and bar codes She questioned me about my request and asked me where this was all coming fromI blatantly said to her that I didn't trust her business and I was trying to protect myself any way I could She then explained to me that they have been in business for 50+ years and hadn't been business that long by screwing over customersShe then invited me to come down to the shop and show me what they had done and all of the people who worked on my vehicleI told her that I would take her up on her offer After the initial chat, she then proceeded to tell me what the technician had discoveredShe was extremely knowledgeable and patient with answering all of my questions and concernsThe quote that was given was expensive (of course, it is a transmission, not an oil change) but she explained to me that it was expensive because they were doing a full rebuild of the transmissionI was expecting that they would only replace the part that was causing the issueHer advice was sound as the full rebuild would fix any potential problems When I arrived at the shop for "show and tell" she proceeded to show me around and introduce my wife and I to the technicians who were working on my vehicleAll of the people that I met showed me what they had discovered at various stages of the repairEveryone I met there was extremely patient with answering my questions and helped me put my mind at ease from the initial distrust The gentleman who rebuilt my transmission (who was the 3rd owner?) explained every part and detail of not only how transmissions work, but more importantly how mine failedThis was a very calming and reassuring experience as he had confirmed everything I had read during my researchAdditionally, the woman who I originally spoke with asked other questions to the owner that I hadn't thought ofI picked up my requested returned parts and took pictures of all the parts that were to be returned After my vehicle was done, I went and picked it upThe woman explained to me all the things I could expect that would happen with my vehicle over the course of the next couple of weeksThe bill was organized and itemized so that every penny that I spent was accounted for Overall, this experience was vastly different than what I initially expectedThis was an absolute joy to meet this business and all who work for itMy experience showed me that everyone that I met concerning my repair had immense pride in their jobs and customer satisfactionThey were extremely accommodating and I felt that my money was well spent Thank you so very much for putting my mind at ease and taking the time to introduce me to your family of professionalsI now know the next time I have transmission issues, I know exactly where to go I can't thank you enough

While I am comfortable with working on my own vehicle, I was not qualified to perform this work, so I called The Automatic Transmission Clinic.

In the beginning I didn't trust this business because I did not know them. I conveyed this apprehension to the woman who answered my call. I requested all the parts that were to be replaced, returned to me and the parts that couldn't be returned to have pictures taken that showed serial numbers and bar codes.
