Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Several items reported in the business' response is not accurate There was no appointment scheduled on 8/2/and I did not miss any scheduled appointments with Brent or his clinic I have not received any bill from indicating what they feel they have the right to charge me, nor any paperwork stating I agreed to a "restocking fee and freight applied to parts" that Brent mentioned If I did sign paperwork stating that I would pay a specific fee if I cancelled or decided to not schedule work to be done on my vehicle through his clinic, I am willing to pay that as long as I can have a copy of the document I signed and a bill to know the charges and amounts I have a receipt showing that I already paid diagnostic fees, so I am not willing to pay those a second time as he did not do any further diagnostics and gave me quotes for all the work needed on my car after seeing it that initial day I would like these areas addressed prior to accepting their response

First off let it be known that these responses by text are from the service manager Brent W*** at the automotive ClinicDave W*** the owner who normally handles these complaints with the Revdex.com Dave has been out on knee replacement surgery and has been unable to respond to
these complaints as of this time I only recently had these complaints emailed to me on my phoneSo as for the complaint by *** *** yes she did bring her vehicle into us under the fact of dire need to have her car diagnosed immediately I did tell her I couldn't get her in I tried to reschedule her but she begged me to get it in ASAP so I had her bring the car and immediately to help her outShe told me she had had her car the repair facility and that facility handles all of the used car repairs for the used car dealership that she bought her vehicle fromWe feel vet that repair facility took advantage of her because they did not want to ruin their relationship with that used car facility that they perform repairs forShe said she could not trust their Diagnostics, also she had only taken her car from there to a parts store not a repair facility to have them pulled the codes on her vehicleRemember part stores are not qualified technicians she brought it to our ASC approved facility which holds Master Certified techniciansShe also said she had been in our shop before, I'm not sure if she had as I did not look to see if we had had a Past ticket for repairs for her vehicles , so since she said she had been there before I assumed she was aware of the $Diagnostics charges, which we charge every customer for unless they have us repair the vehicle then we refund the towards the repair of the vehicleWe spent an hour-and-a-half diagnosing her transmission problem we gave her a thorough Diagnostics and then we gave her a quote on a replacement transmissionIt was at that point that she was ready to walk out the door when I reminded her of the$ Diagnostics, that's when she told me she thought it was free just because the other two places she had taken her car didn't chargerThat's when I explained to her that in most cases nothing is normally free and that we charge $for the DiagnosticsShe then paid with her credit card and did not seem upset at that timeThe owner of the shop Dave W*** was at the front counter at that very moment and was there the entire time that she was there getting her vehicle diagnosed and never said anything to him about having an issue paying the DiagnosticsIt wasn't until the next day which was a Saturday when her husband called and gave me the excuse that *** was on disability and that she was a female that I was ripping her off for charging her Diagnostics he then continued to complain and argue with our shop policies and I had to hang up with himDuring that conversation I did tell him that if he had been more polite and ask nicely instead of being very aggressive and calling us a bunch of crooks and being sexist, that I would talk to Dave and reconsider giving them the $back but due to the nature of the phone call and his rudeness we would be unable to give him a refundI feel that we were Justified and in our judgment and that the fact that we spent over an hour and a half diagnosing her vehicle that the $was a fair price considering we only charged her for hour and not for another $

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: The issue was not resolvedAlthough a refund was issued for the alignment that was not done there has been no resolution for the destruction of my tires due to the technicians error.Sincerely,*** ***

If *** was not happy with the decision made by the owner Dave W***, then why did he take a refund for the alignment? No matter what happens to a customers car before & after repairs it is still the responsibility of the owner / driver of the vehicle repaired to keep up on the maintenance of that vehicle & *** said that he noticed it was driving funny after the repair yet he did not bring the vehicle back to us to inspect it,he decided to drive the vehicle the way it was & then with out calling or coming in to have us look at it he took it some else & never gave us a chance to resolve any problem the vehicle was havingSo we don't know if it was a problem due to our repair or just a simple road hazard that had cause his problem! *** also had know record of ever rotating his front tires which would significantly we're down the life of his front tires from a mile Tire - mile Tire if he wasn't going to rotate your tires, we also went off of his mileage after the repair when he came back to us wanting a refund and he had already driven a thousand miles with a problem in the front end of it he new was bad but never brought it in to have it inspected which shows vehicle owner neglectAs I said before *** did not bring the vehicle back to us even though he was aware and he has put it in writing to the Revdex.com that he knew the front and was driving funny and he neglected it for a thousand miles so if the alignment was out and if it wore out his tires, then the responsibility of the worn-out tires falls into the vehicle owners neglect if *** had brought it back to us it would have been covered under warranty *** never gave us a chance to look at the vehicle he only took the word of another business and I told him before he had it fixed to bring it to us first so we can inspect the problem and he did not do that so in the eyes of the automotive Clinic we would not be responsible for replacing his tires due to his own neglect from not rotating his tires and not allowing us to rectify any issues with the alignment for the repair of bad wheel bearings and power steering rack and tie rods

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that although Brent and I will never agree on the specifics and many events that occurred I do find this resolution to be sufficient.

okay just so we have everybody on the same page here I'm going to start from the beginning on our interactions with [redacted] she came in 2 hour shop sometime before 7-21- 2017. She had a vehicle complained of the vehicle stalling after she had been driving it on the interstate when she brought it in on 7-21-2017 we diagnosed her vehicle as needing a throttle body harness we mentioned at that time that she also needed a brake master cylinder which I had experienced the brake master cylinder failure when I give her a ride to work in her car that morning. We charged her the 7450 for the Diagnostics on that day and I told her I would credit it back towards the repair of the throttle body harness. We repaired the vehicle on       7-25-2017  and she came in 7-26-2017 to pay for her repairs for the throttle body harness connector at that time I credit her back the $74.50 .We had already discussed ordering the parts which were shocks sway bar links and sway bar bushings for the rear of her car that we had looked atwhile we performed the repairs for the throttle body harness.  she told me to go ahead and order her parts and that she would come in the next day which was the 27th and run the [redacted] card financing  application to pay for the repairs for the rear of her car.At that time we ran her application she was approved and I ran the sales transaction as I was taught to do by the previous owner.[redacted] then scheduled her car to be repaired the next Thursday she called me during the week to express her concern over the fact that she thought she was being charged before the repairs were done I explained to her that when you get [redacted] Finance to give you the financing to pay for those repairs the money is already deposited within two days into our business account and I explain to her at that point that I'm not spending her money that money goes towards the repairs that for her vehicle to fix the rear of the vehicle and that even though she scheduled it for the next week to be repaired there was no harm  in the fact that it was deposited before the repairs were done. I explained to her that that is how I was taught to do it from the previous owner and that it still should not matter because that [redacted] card that she applied for through [redacted] Finance it's strictly for automotive repairs at [redacted] Facilities or NAPA parts stores I just now recently found out that it also can be used at most gas stations. she claimed I was fraudulently taking her money before the repairs was donewhich is 100% completely inaccurate anytime you seek financing you usually pay up front before the repairs are done I work with many other financing companies and that is how it is preceded with. I explained to [redacted] that in the event that she did not want to bring her car back in for the repairs that I would credit back the $1,200 minus a 20% restock fee plus Freight plus the Diagnostics that we had not previously charged she said she was unwilling to pay them. Yes she did not sign any paperwork stating that she would be charged a 20% restock fee plus the freight and the labor, but she is inaccurate that she already paid any diagnostics for the rear of the vehicle that she had complained about.I do have full documentation and receipts for all repairs done to her vehicle plus her signature on [redacted] Finance forms. at this point I am so fed up with dealing with thisprocess  that I am now going to wash my hands clean and not charge her anything I only do this because I have wasted and lost many hours dealing with the fact the [redacted] doesn't understand financingif you require any documentation feel free to contact me at any time Brent W[redacted] owner of the automotive Clinics

[redacted]DOCUMENT ATTACHED[redacted]09 /01 /2017Revdex.com, p. o. box 1000, Du Pont, Wa 98327[redacted] brought her vehicle to The Automotive Clinic to be repaired. My automotive tech’s and myself were able to diagnose the problem and I gave her a repair estimate. She stated she could not afford it and I explained...

that we could run a credit application through a outside company,[redacted],and she could finance the amount of the repairs. She agreed and signed the application on 7/27/17 for financing stating that she read and agreed to the terms and charges. She scheduled an appointment for the repairs to be done on 8/2/17 but did not show up for her appointment. She then rescheduled for 8/7/17 and I was unable to come in before business hours to give her a ride to work.  I called her to offer to pick up her car,fix it and deliver it to her. She didn’t answer or respond to the message I left her. I stayed late at work and called again at 7:00pm to attempt to reschedule the appointment at which point she refused to bring it in. She was angry about charges stated by [redacted] when activating her card. I tried to explain that when you apply for financing with [redacted] for our business you are approved and paying upfront for repairs. It is not a regular credit card. It is specifically for the cost of repairs through the automotive clinic. I asked her to call the finance company with questions about the process. She ultimately decided not to have the repairs done. I informed her that even though she was no longer having her vehicle repaired, she was still responsible for the diagnostics fee and any restock fees and freight applied to parts that had been ordered. It is my understanding that [redacted] did not read or understand the terms of her financing agreement. I did tell her I would take her to court if she refused to pay her bill. I did respond angrily when she accused me of being fraudulent. Policy at the automotive clinic states if you require financing it is to be paid upfront by the financing company before repairs are made. I will refund her $1200 minus the charges stated above. Pease contact me if you need additional information.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: More excuses and justification. This is a very unethical business. I took the refund for the alignment because they finally admitted that it was NEVER DONE!! Their technician destroyed my tires prematurely. They should make it right. They're refusal to do so should be a warning to anyone considering taking their vehicle to the automotive clinic.Sincerely,[redacted]

RE: Complaint ID: [redacted]In response to Mr. [redacted] ' complaint we like to respond the following:Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle into the shop complaining of difficulty with the steeringand stated that it was making noise. We repaired the vehicle and gave Mr. [redacted] theinvoice with the nationwide...

warranty on it. We never heard anything from Mr. [redacted]until he showed up demanding that we replace his tires. We advised Mr. [redacted] at this time that if there was a problem he should haveimmediately brought it back Generally when a car is out of alignment it pulls to oneside, certainly something Mr. [redacted] would have noticed immediately. Logically heshould have returned at that time. However, we heard nothing from him until hereturned demanding new tires. Mr. [redacted] in his statement admits that "the steering waseasier" which would indicate there was not an alignment problem at that time. Mr.[redacted] also admits that he did not do the recommended rotation on the tires, which ifthere was indeed a problem it would have been found at that time. Mr. [redacted] also doesnot factor in his responsibility for possible "road hazards", i.e., pot holes which aredetrimental to alignment and tires, hitting curbs, etc. We have no idea if he could havehit a pot hole and blown out his tire, which is very common. His statement that he asked other tire experts and they said the alignment was not done isnot even fair given the fact that again damage can occur to the alignment at any timewhen the driver hits a bump, pothole or a curb.We therefore did reimburse him for the alignment due to his accusations, however theburden of bringing the car to have it checked if he suspected a problem and rotating histires in a timely manner are on him.Respectfully,Dave W[redacted]
