I bought a front load wash off of *** at The Back Forty Housewares in ***. *** was advertising a waher on facebook and I replies to her and ask her it was in good condition and worked good she replied to me it works great and it has no problems I went and picked it up at her store and gave her 160.00 which she was asking for it and brought it home and hooked it up and washed one load of clothes and it sounded like a jet was taking off so I waitied until the next morning which was saturday 02/16/2020 and it sound like a jet taking off plus like hockey pucks rolling around in the washer on spin cycle hitting together it is so loud you can't hear anyone in the room talking so I messaged *** and she first said that is why the other gentleman got ride of it because it was to loud and she didn't tell me that when I bought it and I ask her for a refund and she said she had already paid the other gentleman and she wasn't giving me my money back and now I have to throw away the washer and go buy me another one also the water want turn off inside the drum it flooded my laundry room so I can't do anything with the washer except throw it away and go buy me another one and I am out of 160.00 due to her being unhonest to me and lieing to me. I have a video and text to show everything.
To whom it may concern, I am writing this response in regards to complain ID # *** with the Revdex.com, concerning the sale of a front load washing machine. In the complaint the customer has stated, that I sold her a defective and unuseable front load washing machine, and has demanded a refund. There were absolutely no problems with this machine when it left my store, as the customer has claimed. I do not bring any appliances to my store, The Back Forty Resale, prior to having them thoroughly checked out by an appliance repairman. If any issues exist, it will not be sold through my store. This front load washing machine was thoroughly checked out by the appliance repairman prior to being brought to my store to be sold, and can include his statement in this response, if necessary. After showing the customers video of the washing machine being loud to my repairman, he advised me that he is certain due to the sound in the video of this front load washing machine, that the customer either dropped it, while trying to unload, or possibly laid it on it's side, while unloading or during transport, thus possibly causing the guide rollers to come out of their track. Since I personally watched the two gentlemen, who picked it up, have an extremely difficult time trying to load this heavy washing machine onto their pick-up truck, this seems very possible. In addition we have a "no refund" and "not responsible for damages after item has left the store" policy, which it is clearly posted and pointed out at the time of sale. I would also like to add, after this customer unsuccessful attempted to force me to give her a refund, she went and made a post on another one of our advertisements, for a different washer and dryer set, and made the statement that I was a rip off and a liar and for others not to buy from me. As a result of her post, I will be filing a slander lawsuit against her, for that untruthful post, as soon as courts resume normal business, after the Coronavirus shutdown, that they are currently in. My daughter and I work extremely hard to be a business, that our customers know that they can count on for both a good value and a reliable product. I unfortunately cannot ignore the untruthful and unfair statements made about us. If any further information is required of me, please don't hesitate to contact me.
