The practice name was changed because ownership changedMr[redacted] has been practicing since Prior to commencing work we advise theClient that the property they owned flooded and an investment of $500k in thisneighborhood of $100k houses was not advisableThe Client ignored ourprofessional adviceThroughout the design process the Client made numerouschanges to the design necessitating multiple designs Five concepts designs were drawn by hand andthen entered into the computer and presented-exceeding the agreed to scope ofservice of three in the contractWe attended permitting hearings with theconservation board and board of health on the behalf of the Clients behalf andobtained to approval to buildDuring each design meeting the Client pressed us to expandand embellish the proposed home despite recommendations that the project waswell over the stated budget of 500KKnowing that the gsf home with 10bedrooms was beyond the stated budget, at our own expense we prepared a costestimateWe recommended that they seek other cost estimates from professionalcontractors and never heard from them againIt was our understanding that the Clients recognized that wehad performed additional services with the additional designs, the hearings andmeetings we attended at the town and the cost estimate we preparedWerequested to be compensated for the additional services and received approval.We billed for those services according to the agreement We later found out that their practice was to pay forservices 90+ days from invoice and concluded that they would pay usWeattempted to contact the Client multiple times to establish that we would becompensated via email and phone to no availThe outstanding balance of $1100went unpaidWe received a court judgment for the outstanding balanceTheClient made motions to have the judgment overturned and each request wasdenied.To date despite court order the Client still has not paidtheir bill
