I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[redacted] It is very unprofessional to do business in the manner in which Balanced Bookkeeping have chosen. We have contacted Balanced Bookkeeping for a simple update via phone and via email. We have not received a response.  If they think it's best to close their business for several weeks after tax season that is their choice, but it still does not justify cutting off all contact with their customers especially if they have unresolved business with a client such as in our case....completing the amendment and filing of the state taxes. We were left in the dark as to "when" they would actually file the amendment. Stating that they would file the amendment "after the tax season" does not specify to us "when" and that is the information that they refused to provide to us. This is the whole point and it is the very reason that this complaint was sent to Revdex.com in the first place. It is 5/23/16 and as of today, we are well past the end of the tax season and still we are left without an answer of "when" Balanced Bookkeeping would continue with the amendment and completing the state taxes. No return phone call. No return email.  We have been a long standing customer with Balanced Bookkeeping. They have not been the greatest with returning phone calls over the years but this incident was the worst communication that I have experienced with any company. You would think that they would treat a long standing customer better than this. This complaint could have been avoided had they chosen to be professional and communicate. We never wish to do business again with Balanced Bookkeeping because they have acted so unprofessionally. It is not right for them to call their business a professional business when they will not return communications to ensure that their clients are not left in the dark. Several messages were left unanswered. Deborah F[redacted] stated that we initially withheld pertinent information. This was not purposely done. There were 2 W2's  sent to us for 2015. We believed them to be duplicates so we sent 1 of the 2.  Apparently we sent the one with the missing info that Deborah needed. Deborah is the tax preparer. Maybe if she was more skilled in her profession, she may have caught the the missing information on the 1 that we sent. Instead, Deborah called me after she haphazardly sent our state taxes in then she discovered the error and after the fact she called and asked me "do you happen to have another return and if so, what is in box 17?"  I explained that I did have another return which I thought was a duplicate and she stated that it was the one that she needed. I told her what was in box 17 and she confirmed that the one that I had is the one that she needed sent to her. I scanned and emailed it to her immediately the same day. She did explain that an amendment needed to be done in order to file the state taxes and she did explain that after the tax season, she would do so.  I called her and emailed her after the tax season several times to ask if she had filed the amendment and proceeded with the filing of the state taxes and she failed to return my emails or phone calls. We were due a refund and this business showed no sense of urgency or importance in handling this matter in which they were paid to do and they did not care to communicate.  This is the reason why the Revdex.com complaint was filed. It was filed due to the non responsiveness and because of the unprofessional manner in which Balance Bookkeeping chose to conduct business.[redacted] and [redacted]

We are in receipt of your letter dates May 2, 2016, whereas our client(s) have filed a complaint.These client(s) have been long standing client(s) with our company. Their payment of $225 for both the federal and state 2015 Tax Year filing was satisfied. We had prepared the client(s) tax returns...

Upon completion of both the federal and state filing, it was discovered that the client(s) had withheld pertinent information that was crucial for the initial tax preparation filing. Regrettably, the client(s) had failed to send all adequate documentation for the initial 2015 Tax Year filing. These client(s) were made aware of their dilemma. In our telephone discussion, the client(s) indicated that she did not believe the missing information to be of importance. She believed it to have been duplication so had not included the document in the initial mailing of documentation to our office. At that time, the client(s) were informed that an amendment was necessary to conclude the filing process. They were also told at that time that the amendment was not able to be performed until the close of our tax season. It is customary for our office to close for several weeks after our strenous tax season which explains our not being readily available to receive any telephone calls. This is a very unfortunate situation, but to no fault on our behalf. The fee for the amendment will be assessed at the time of preparation.
