The customer’s dispute was investigated in accordance with Regulation E requirements and his account was refunded for the disputed amount on 11/02/ It is the Bank’s policy to close an account when an owner requests to be removed from an account We would not remove an account owner from a joint account and leave the account open The Bank has no record of the customer requesting to close the account We do have a record of the customer requesting to cancel his wife’s debit card associated with the account This request was completed as requested This action, however, does not constitute a change in ownership of an account, only the cancellation of an electronic access device Both customer’s names appear on all statements issued since account opening The Bank is closing the account to avoid further disputes between the customer and his spouse
