I am rejecting this response because: As I read the response from the company, I could not believe what I was reading as it was full of lies and untruths If I had to be honest, I got EXTREMELY upset! I read it aloud to my husband and he kept blurting out that those things were a lies as I was reading it to him Kelly was not the employee who originally showed us the barn When we originally looked at it, we were told we could not have fire burners or anything inside the barn At the time there was no deck but we were told one was going to be built and we could use that for food (which we did) or use the burners in the yard for food under a tent I was NEVER told we coud not plug mutliple things into the outlets, the owner's home was NOT used to heat up food, it took LONGER than minto heat up the food, guests had to leave without getting to eat due to food not being ready At one point when I spoke to Kelly, during the event, she said she had no idea what to do as she was not an electrician and she was going to call one and try to get someone out to fix the problem; which never happened I never did hear anymore as she was no where to be found and never seen again We did NOT have everything plugged into one outlet as extension cords were ran across the building to utilize the outlets throughout the barn The problem was that ALL the outlets ran off of one circuit This was an obvious problem to the barn as they now admit to updating the electric since my daughter's wedding was held there I mentioned the DJ, I am aware he is an outside source, because it was an added expense that was paid and due to the barns lack of updated electricity, he lost all the music and had to redownload all of it during the wedding There were no visible fire extinguishers, an uncovered breaker box, lack of sufficient electricity, etc The barn broke MULTIPLE fire codes We have pictures and I can get numerous witness reports from several different witnesses if need be Kelly mentioned something about an industrial fan being plugged in and we have no clue what she is talking about as we had no fan there except the ones inside the barn that hung from the celing Again it was longer than 15-minutes for the food to be ready We had to go ahead and finish pictures, introduce the wedding party, have the maid of honor speech, have the best man's speech, the father/daughter dance, the mother/son dance, etcto fill in the time so everyone wasn't just sitting there because noone could eat as the food was frozen As far as the comment Kelly stated about the contract saying bad weather may cause power outages it was a beautiful, hot day in August, no bad weather occured The power outage was due to the electricity being outdated and not sufficient for a wedding to be held at the barn, thus the recent upgrade/update I completely understand not being held liable for outages due to bad weather, something beyond their control, however this was totally within their control and it was obvious there was no inspection done on the barn prior to having events there I also disagree with her statement that the Barn staff did their very best to diffuse the situation in a timely manner and to avoid disrupting the wedding party Nothing could be further from the truth She was not an electrician, she said she was going to call one and have them come out, which never happened It was the wedding party who were still dressed in their wedding attire, covered in sweat, busting their butts to work on and rectify the situaion I felt so bad and I apologized to all those men who worked so hard on a day they should have been able to sit back and enjoy

Dear
***, Revdex.com and to whom this may concern:
As
stated in multiple responses priorWe have taken accountability of the issues
at handWe have upgraded the electric accordingly and have addressed our
rental agreements specifying that proper catering must occurAlong with that,
we have offered a reasonable credit to you in the amount of $for the
temporary power outage and inconveniences to your wedding guests and partyWe
have taken accountability in every manner possibleYour continual rejections
of our responses and further requests in complaints lead us to believe that no
matter what is offered that you will not be satisfied within reasonWhen
someone is continually looking for what is wrong, they will find itIn all
fairness, I would hope that you could look back on this day and see everything
that was right about that day, event and weddingFrom the pictures, it looked
like a beautiful wedding and the bride and groom looked genuinely happyThe
barn was used for all days as reserved in your contractThe wedding occurred
and progressedUnfortunately yes, the temporary power outage occurred and we
responded in the best manner at the time and apologizeThe barn has taken
accountability and is offering you a $credit which is a 25% refund of the
entire eventWe feel that this is a reasonable credit for the events that took
place throughout the course of your rental agreementYour request for a full
refund we do not see as reasonable nor asking for $1,refund is reasonablePlease
see our most previous response and if you are in agreement with the proposed
solution

I am a co-owner of the Barn and I spoke with our event coordinator Kelly J[redacted] and here is her account of that evening and what transpired. The electric in the barn has been updated since but what occurred that weekend, no electric source would withstand with everything they were trying to plug in....

Some accountability needs to be taken by the client as we informed the wedding party ahead of time that the electric is not to be used for plugging multiple appliances in and it's a safety hazard. Below is Kelly's statement and response to the clients complaint. I hope this can be resolved as we have have explained multiple times to [redacted] that we addressed all concerns in a timely manner and she is not satisfied. Also the DJ is an outside vendor that is not an employee of the barn. I noticed that was mentioned in the complaint as well. Please let me know if you need anything else to help resolve this issue. Thanks! Below is the email I sent to [redacted] (the bride's mom) following the incident.  She called me on the phone after she received this email, so unfortunately I don't have any further correspondence with her.  A statement of what happened.......The wedding party had six large sized burners plugged into one electrical outlet, the DJ's equipment was also plugged in, as well as a large industrial fan. I informed the bride's mother that it was a safety hazard to have that many items plugged into one electrical outlet and it would continue causing the electric to trip unless they unplugged the burners and industrial fan. Fortunately, the DJ was able to stay plugged in without further tripping the electric.  I then spoke with a few gentlemen, who were guests at the wedding, to let them know that I would open up the owner's kitchen so they could plug in the burners to heat up the food. The gentlemen brought the food down and we plugged the burners into the electrical outlets in the owner's kitchen and also in the dressing rooms.  Within about 15 minutes all of the food was heated up and ready for the guests to eat.  The bride's mother was unaware of me opening up the owner's personal kitchen because she was inside the barn the entire time and did not see this transpire.  I later recounted to her that I provided an alternative power source and she stated that she was unaware since she was inside the barn when this event took place.  It clearly states in our contract under section Weather/Power Outages: Bad weather conditions may make travel difficult.  In addition, occasional power outages may occur.  Owner and its agent will do its best to provide alternate power sources, but no refunds will be given for bad weather or power outages.  We are not responsible for any damages that may occur due to inclement weather.  As I stated above, I provided an alternative power source for the wedding party and their guests.  All in all, the power outage lasted 15-20 minutes and because I was able to provide a quick solution to the power outage, everyone at the wedding was able to have hot fully cooked food.It is unfortunate that this incident took place on such a special day but The Barn staff did their very best to diffuse the situation in a timely manner and to avoid disrupting the wedding party and their guests any further. Here is my correspondence with [redacted] via email below:"Hi [redacted],I just spoke with the owner of The Barn, she informed me that you had called the office this morning.  We will be mailing out your $500.00 deposit today but unfortunately, we will not be issuing any refund for the brief electrical outage during your daughter's wedding. Unfortunately, when you have six large sized burners plugged into one power source along with the DJ and a fan it is inevitable that the electric will go out.  I tried my best to make the situation better for you and your guests by opening the owner's home to you in order to heat up the food.  The electric in the barn has not been a problem this wedding season, so I am so sorry that this happened on such a special day.   [redacted] was such a beautiful bride and I hope her and [redacted] enjoy married life :)" Thank You,

Can you please have [redacted] sign this and once we have this we will mail the check out to her? Thanks so much!
