Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/05/30) */
The customer left the vehicle to have two front tires 265/70rinstall on the vehicleWanted the replace tires put on the front and put the best on the rear
In actuality there was a requirement four tires
During the period of time that
the vehicle was here and the time it was picked upThere was some miscommunication between the parties
The tires where replaced with two brand new tires value at *** a pieceAnd two used tires where also installed for a value of *** eaWe where not charging full price for the new tire, and discounted the tires to meet the *** per tire priceThe quote was handled by the technician doing the job and failed to communicate to the customer all that he was doing to the vehicleHe has told this to the customer when they came inHe did apologized in personThe value of the products and services that that customer received far exceeded the price that was paidSome of the parting statements conveyed to another technician outside of the shop (after the tires where inspected) the customer indicated "that he loves the shop tech's and that he has no problem with bring his car back to usThere was just a misunderstanding about the tire prices, that he was just blowing off steam"Than apologized to the tech for making a sceneShook hands and told him to have a nice dayThis is after the vehicle was jumped started
The Battery issueThe vehicle had to be jumped to leave the propertyWe did not leave the doors open to work on tiresWe started the vehicle a few times to bring it in, drive it out and park itThe questions that come to mine is How old is(was)the battery?
Did the battery get properly re-charged?
Did it hold a charge?
In summaryThere was miscommunication on our end with the customerWith the customer getting more value in the tires than what was paid forApologies where given on both sides and accepted
The tires where New Goodyear Wrangles 265/70RAverage internet price ranges from *** to *** this does not include shipping or mounting r balancing
I am sorry that it happenedBut it didIf you ever need anything in the future, we would gladly be here to help you with our services
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/06/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First of all, thanks to the Revdex.com for an opportunity to respond to such an inflated and outright absurd responseSecond, a few facts...A) Who decided tires were needed? I didn'tThe business didWhich I still strongly dispute- I asked for, and was quoted for two (2) tires originallyB) It's unfortunate that the business chooses to blame their own technician rather than take/accept responsibility for the situationC)At NO time did the business itemize or explain the charges when I picked up the vehicleThere was only one number given and then a feeble attempt to justify the chargesD) I find the language that I supposedly used - accordingly to the business - to be hilarious! Does one routinely 'love' a technician that puts tires on their car one time?? I don'tE) As far as a 'scene' - one wasn't made...Therefore, I certainly never apologized for making oneIf the owner of this business thinks or equates a customer ASKING OR INQUIRING about an incorrect or inflated invoice, then perhaps I made a 'scene.' F) In reference to the battery issue, I have NEVER had an issue with the battery in this vehicleEVER!! The technician who jump-started my vehicle ADMITTED to leaving the door open during the ENTIRE time it was in the shopThe battery has since been replaced at my expense
In conclusion, the response offered by the business is tellingThey obviously have as much of a grasp on satisfactory customer service as they do on the written application of the English language
While I have not filed any litigation in reference to this matter, at this time, I am highly considering it
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2017/06/17) */
