Thank you for contacting us Our guests, the [redacted] , booked a room at our hotel They were in our area for a [redacted] concert in [redacted] They arrived mid-afternoon and the parking lot was empty Most of our guests do not spend the day at the hotel- they go to [redacted] to the Baseball Hall of Fame or to the Opera which has a matinee on on Saturday Lack of cars is not an indication that there isn't any business or that a business is condemned We did want them to be happy and did show them several rooms at different locations to please them They choose a room at the Lake House (www[redacted] .com) on the lake and settled into Room (please see the picture on the website) until they left for their concertUnfortunately, the concert was shorter than they expected They came back here at PM and said that since they were close to home, they would drive home that evening A little late for someone to check out after they had checked in I notice that they left this important detail out in their complaint to you I am attaching a picture of the Victorian home they complained about You will be able to see that it is not an old run down home for poverty stricken folks It is a lovely home with beautiful rooms Although they complained about this house, please note they did not choose a room in this house, they chose a room at the Lake House The crux of the problem is that although they intended to stay and had used the room, the concert got out early and they preferred to go home that evening The room had been paid for and was non-refundableThey checked in, used the room and wanted to check out at PM Had they let us know earlier that they did not intend to stay, we could have re-rented the room but that was not the case Their belongings were in the room and it was theirs for the night We are not a drop in center We have been in business for years and rent to many happy customers who become friends as they return year after year Never has someone checked in and come back hours later to check out because what they came to do did not last as long as they thought it would and expect their money to be returned The [redacted] have posted negative reviews on every site they can think of and now they are using the Revdex.com to try to get a refund It is extortion plain and simple Please contact me if you have any further questions I look forward to hearing from youSincerely, Gene and Chris Corrigan Owners of The Lake House
Thank you for contacting us. Our guests, the [redacted], booked a room at our hotel. They were in our area for a [redacted] concert in [redacted]. They arrived mid-afternoon and the parking lot was empty. Most of our guests do not spend the day at the hotel- they...
go to [redacted] to the Baseball Hall of Fame or to the Opera which has a matinee on on Saturday. Lack of cars is not an indication that there isn't any business or that a business is condemned. We did want them to be happy and did show them several rooms at different locations to please them. They choose a room at the Lake House (www.[redacted].com) on the lake and settled into Room 6 (please see the picture on the website) until they left for their concert. Unfortunately, the concert was shorter than they expected. They came back here at 10 PM and said that since they were close to home, they would drive home that evening. A little late for someone to check out after they had checked in. I notice that they left this important detail out in their complaint to you. I am attaching a picture of the Victorian home they complained about. You will be able to see that it is not an old run down home for poverty stricken folks. It is a lovely home with beautiful rooms. Although they complained about this house, please note they did not choose a room in this house, they chose a room at the Lake House. The crux of the problem is that although they intended to stay and had used the room, the concert got out early and they preferred to go home that evening. The room had been paid for and was non-refundable. They checked in, used the room and wanted to check out at 10 PM. Had they let us know earlier that they did not intend to stay, we could have re-rented the room but that was not the case. Their belongings were in the room and it was theirs for the night. We are not a drop in center. We have been in business for years and rent to many happy customers who become friends as they return year after year. Never has someone checked in and come back hours later to check out because what they came to do did not last as long as they thought it would and expect their money to be returned. The [redacted] have posted negative reviews on every site they can think of and now they are using the Revdex.com to try to get a refund. It is extortion plain and simple. Please contact me if you have any further questions. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Gene and Chris Corrigan Owners of The Lake House
