I am rejecting this response because:Email sent to business:    Thank you for the response.      We respectfully disagree.  Please provide us with the details that you claim to have, besides people that work for you - were they physically in the room ??  We would like to avoid having to file a claim in small claims court however we will do so if necessary.      We were seriously disappointed in the condition of the room for the price paid and to add this erroneous exorbitant extra charge adds to our dissatisfaction with the hotel.We should have listened to the social media and trip advisor bad reviews and we will be adding our comments regarding the condition of the rooms.      We are once again requesting that you refund the 250 charge.      Regards,    [redacted]

Review: I booked a room for the night of April 1, 2014 at the Berkeley Hotel through [redacted]. I paid for my room in advance through [redacted]. Upon arrival the front desk confirmed that I had already paid but they said they required a credit card on file for any extra charges that may occur. I did not have any extra charges when I checked out. Upon checking out I signed the check out receipt and I left. When I got back home from my trip I see that The Berkeley Hotel had charged me $88.37 for the room. I called on April 6, 2014 and they apologized and said that it would be credited back to my card. That credit never showed up. I called back on May 2, 2014 (7 days ago) and left a message on the [redacted] voice mail telling her my situation and stating that I had not received my credit. They have not returned my phone call about my situation. Terrible customer service.Desired Settlement: I want the $88.37 credited back to my card. My room was paid in full in advance through [redacted]

Review: I stayed at the Berkeley hotel one night 10/31 and the room rate with tax was 171.35.

When I got my credit card statement I was billed 421.35 an additional 250 dollars. My receipt was for 171.35.

I called the hotel and was told this was a 'smoking charge'. We did not smoke in the room and this is an erroneous charge. There was a wedding at the hotel and the entire hall smelled of smoke as well as when we passed the room next to ours. They are mistaken and need to refund this charge.

We wrote repeatedly to the hotel asking them to reverse this charge and refund the 250 dollars , they did not have the courtesy to reply.Desired Settlement: refund of 250 dollars
