The Berkshire Gas Company Reviews (1)
GasNetworks failed to provide the total rebate for a Honeywell WiFi Programable Thermostat. In purchasing a new thermostat at the Home Depot, there was a GasNetworks advert that there would be a $100 rebate with the purchase of a Honeywell WiFi Programable Thermostat. So we bought the product at 99.98 plus tax. Sent in the rebate and had the product installed, which does not work with our system. Since we already installed, and we applied for rebate, we could not return. We figure it would be free anyway, so who cared. Well now we just received a $25 rebate and are stuck with a thermostat that does not work with our sytem. We could pay to have someone install addional wiring (retrofit), so it would work - yet not willing to spend additional funds. Contacted GasNetworks rebate center and they said that my 99.98 purchase was under the $100 rebate, so only could receive $25. I believe the rebate was misleading and never suggested I would only be receiving $25.Desired Settlementthe remaining rebate of 99.98-$25.00Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]Said customer is not a customer of Berkshire Gas. Instead he is a customer of Eversource Energy (formerly NStar). I contacted Eversource to alert them of this. Apparently there was some type of error in the product code. Eversource will be contacting the customer and will inform him that an additional $75 will be sent to him overnight.
