Dear Mr. [redacted],
arial, sans-serif;">
I am writing in response to your request as received from the Richmond Revdex.com office.  As you are aware, we offered to an early termination of your lease terms without any penalty even though your lease was not set to expire until December of 2015.

Individually:

We replaced the dishwasher as requested, yet we were unaware of any broken dishes from the on-site management’s office.

The ceiling was repaired as I understand.  Sometimes with plaster, we have to allow the ceiling to “dry out” completely prior to the final refinishing.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Pest control was offered and undertaken by a professional company.  It has always been our goal to try and maintain a pest free environment, but with multifamily dwellings, the housekeeping of others is hard to “patrol”.

The gas leak was not found.  We feel this could have been caused by an ignition failure on the new cooktop installed.  Original cooktops had standing pilots and the new ones have “battery spark ignition” which if the battery is weak or dead, can cause the gas odor for a small amount of time.

Our lease has a package delivery policy that eliminates the management to be responsible for this items.  We gladly accept and hold packages, but is something unfortunate happens, we have a “hold harmless” policy as it pertains to this.  If it were USPS item, you should possibly file a loss claim with them.

I’m not exactly sure what your are “looking” for at this point, but we are reasonable as well.  We also feel that the early termination without penalty was an equal trade-off for any inconvenience that you may have encountered.

I look forward to your reply, and have a great day!!

Review: 1. We were told by a member of management before we signed our lease that we will receive a completely renovated apartment with all "new" appliances. So we agreed to pay a premium on the rent for it to be renovated

-the cieling of apartments were left unfinsished for over 3 months

-we were forced to keep an old dishwasher which overheated and broke over $70 worth of dishware

-once this happened it was replaced 3 months after it was promised

2. From the day we moved in we had infestation issues. We were released from our lease due to multiple issues. The highlights of which are:

Bed bugs

Unable to locate source of gas leak

Air conditioning malfunction

Malfunctioning fire alarms

Unlivable home environment

3. During our stay at The Berkshire our mail was stolen twice while under there care.Desired Settlement: I would like there corporate office to contact me about possibly reimburse us for some of our rent or at least to discuss the events that took place. I am not unreasonable, however from the beginning to the end of our stay our apartment was never in a condition where anyone could define it as "livable".
